Why is everything I see made in C4D so pretty?

And how can I replicate that look in Maya?
I always see these beautiful low poly works getting pumped out specifically from C4D. I really want to make a game with the same aesthetics as above but I've tried to replicate that same look in Maya and it just never gets close, yet doing it in C4D seems effortless. Should I just start out in C4D (at least for the environments, I wouldn't know the first thing about rigging/animating there) before moving to Maya/Unity, or...what? Any idea of how to get the same fragmented look in Maya? With characters, environments...etc.
