apologies for new, yes i read the sticky how would i go about fixing the UVs for this thing in maya for example the rectangles circled in red are all supposed to be the same size but atm they're all wonky. how would i scale them all to be the same size and the correct proportions? thanks for reading

What's wrong with the shading here? There are no more/less divisions, than the rest of the model, and I've even tried adding more but it does nothing, only spreads the issue. I also tried seeing if it was the lighting, but that made no difference either.

Hey /3/ I've recently been trying my hand at 3D Modeling using Blender. I've been making models in Sketchup since.. well since rightou around when Google bought and then later sold it. Most of the stuff I've made in Blender so far has been following tutorials, and I've managed to get a grasp on how the program works. I have however wanted to get back to modeling what I mainly did in Sketchup which was buildings. I've made a prototype for a small convenience store. Obviously I need to start texturing it, but can't figure out exactly where to start with that. What I want is to use pictures for the windows, doors, wall coverings etc. here. What are some terms I should use when looking for tutorials?

does anybody know if you can rip models from unity 3D apps? http://mikeinelart.tumblr.com/post/116654225385 I wanna pull that model since i cbf making a full body myself, to rig/add dynamics, better shaders etc. bottom pic related, it's the nude version of the model from that unity file. Also, What causes noise in normal maps? as per the bottom image. I'm rendering in MR, MILA shader with SSS, diffuse reflection, gloss reflection and fresnel gloss all weighted quite low, with the normal map applied. The more reflection layers i add the worse it becomes. I've tried increasing the GI/FG/unified samples in render settings and there's no change, so it must be something to do with the bump2D node / normal file or some quality setting inside the MILA shader that i can't find.

What is the easiest way for beginner to create a simple horror game? I thought about a very short and simple game where you just walk in a building and try to find something. My idea is to create the building in Cinema 4D and then use Unreal Engine 4 to create the game. What do you think?
