Hi /3/, I'm buying a new laptop because my old one (4years) doesn't have as much computing power I desire. So I started looking around and the laptop which I really like is MSI gs70 which is a gaming laptop. Since I also play games, I would like a laptop which is good also for that. I could get this one for 1.5k euro. I really like it because of its slim and light design, 17" screen and cooling layout. Since I don't want to pay really more than 1.6k and I usually walk 30 mins to school and from school, the mobility is also important to me. I use usually Autodesk Inventor and for one company am starting to use ProE WF4. The stats of the laptop: Intel Core i7 5700HQ Broadwell, 17.3 "LCD 1920x1080 antireflex, RAM 16GB DDR3, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970mm 3GB GDDR5, SSD 2x128GB + 1TB HDD 7200 2.66kg with battery What do you think about it? Do you think I should go for something else?

Hey everyone! I'm a C++ programmer working in Unreal Engine 4. Me and a tech artist have been working on a fighting game, with the end goal of doing a kickstarter. The project is going well, we have our first character sculpted, retopologized, and the start of some texturing (picture related). We already have a talented sound guy who will be joining us soon, but we need one (or more?) enthusiastic 3D and concept artists to help out. On the programming side we have movement (dashing, jumping, super jumps, etc.), input processing (half circles, quarter circles, etc.), and some hitbox functionality set up. 3ds max ambient occlusion

Got a question that maybe u guys can solve. I created a basic tire, did a bake on it, got my normal maps and then figured why not do the ambient occlusion. The problem is, I copied the tires on top of eachother to create a barrier of some sort. In order to create an Ambient Occlusion map for the tires, do they need to be all on one texture sheet and separated from eachother or can I use the Absolute/Relative Type Ins in 3ds max to seperate them? So, /3/. I need some help. I do not really know much about 3D software, but I was trying to do something with Blender Cycles, but I can't get that kind of "filter" from the game. In the downloading page fom Models-Resource it looks pretty much accurate, but I not sure what kind of software it is (Probably 3DSMax, but I only know how to use Blender. also, Blender it's free) So, how I get that "filter" with Blender Cycles?
