Hey guys just a friendly PSA here. There's an anonymous user who frequently posts in threads where people need help asking to email him. His email is anthonyjumpman@gmail.com. I'm here to tell you DO NOT EMAIL HIM. I had a thread back in September requesting help to model something I've wanted for awhile. I emailed him in the hopes he could do it, and paid him in game codes using a money fund I set aside specifically for this project (3D modelling is expensive). Now he's strung me along since and failed to deliver the model. And after a bit of...shall we say...:research into him I get the idea he's not the most savoury character. This is a hard earned lesson on my part, but I felt it necessary to warn you guys so nobody else falls into his trap. If anyone knows anything about him please let me know. On a separate side note, if anyone actually wants to really help me with this model project, I'd greatly appreciate it. I unfortunately cannot offer compensation because he took all of it, but it would be very much appreciated!

What is the best way to model an escalator? What is the best way to model multiple escalators with varying dimensions quickly? I'm working in archviz and I have no clue how to go about this. All my previous projects had standard sized escalators, so I was able to just pull something of turbosquid and make some tiny adjustments and it fit. But now I need some fucking long escalators with a very small height. Need like 8 and all of them have slightly different lengths.. I found video where someone did exactly what I need in grasshopper, but I couldnt fint the script anywhere and he has not responded to my email. Can I just make the escalators in Revit or something and export from there? Or are those all standard sized as well? Would Houdini be good for this? Totally stumped here, please help. I dont want to model each escalator individually, and almost every upcoming project will have a few of them...

i know this thread isn't really on topic of board, but i suppose /3/fags would know this im trying to make an isometric drawing of 2 retarded pipes intersecting. I could find easily on yt how to draw the ellipse, which would represent a circle, but can't find for the ellipse which represents the intersections of 2 perpendicular cyllinders. tl;dr not on board topic; retard needs help

D/ic/k here I been interested in using 3d models for references like in pic related I used DAZstudio in the past with the stock model but that didn't help, I think I need to fully control the image, I need dressings, props and lights but I don't know how to do it. What is the best program for this and the best way to do it? Where do I get assets and such?

How do you get nHair's cache to update properly in Maya? I'm new to Maya, I have a joint chain being driven by a nHair folicle (made it using Bonus Tools), which is parented to my control rig's NURBS circle. Sometimes when moving the circle the animation of the nHair is not updated to follow. Sometimes selecting the hair system and doing nCache > disable all caches on selected forces an update, sometimes it doesn't. Other times it seems the only way to get my hair animation to update is to put a new keyframe on the parented object. As far as I can tell, the nHair IS being updated, as the IK point/spline is in a new position, but the bones are not. Is there something I'm not doing right? Cheers

Hey /3/D'ers, what would be the best way for me to recreate this (a woodblock print, like a stamp) into a 3D model? I can get my hands on an SVG/PNG of the graphic/painting on it, which I can extrude on a plane/top of the rectangle. My problem is how would I recreate the chiseled-wood effect/pattern on the model? tnx
