Ok so I know how to: 1. Model something in blender 2. Mark seams 3. Unwrap UV map 4. Export the UV layout 5. Edit the UV layout in photohop or something 6. Import the UV texture 7. Apply the UV texture to an object BUT I want to be able to just draw the half of the UV texture and apply it in a mirror way to the object. How can I do that. Or can you send me a link to a tutorial that cover it? Pic relevant, is a texture that use that technique. Thanks!

Hi /3/. Game programmer here. To put a long story short, I am making a small game in Unity that I intend to self publish. I have a few artit friends that wish to help, but while they are excellent traditional ("paper and pen/pencil) artists, they have zero 3D experience. So my question for you is this: what is the best 3D program for traditional artists to learn? Pic unrelated. Just something I threw together in Max for a separate project.

So /3/, i was wondering what is the best way and the fastest to get a nice global illumination in 3ds max ? I am doing some outdoors architecture shots and vray's gi takes a full year to compute gi while dreamscape's fake sun gi looks silly as fuck I heard cebas final render is good and fast at Global Illumination but i wanted to hear t/3/apots opinion about it.
