Hello I need help regarding 3dsMax Id like to make quasi-facing particles with PF source. By quasi-facing i mean planes facing camera only in Y-axis (movement direction), while other axles follow speed vector - the way bullets are made in almost every shooter game today So far im clueless, so pretty please

Anyone got some recommended books or tutorials for rigging? I tried some gnomon DVD and it got to the point I just couldn't understand it. I'm looking for something foolproof, or that actually WORKED for someone, be it book, video, or tutorial. Please help. (Reviews for the book in the pic says it's dated for newer version of maya. hey guys i need help in After Effects basically what i wanna do is, get the Chanel logo pop out from beneath skin, so im doing it with displacement im actually watching videocopilots tutorial on this but everytime i use the displacement, its not where i want it to be, it actually stretches all over my image, i dont want that what do? pic related i want the chanel logo to appear on the chest (white logo) but it just gets all over the place for no reason

I've ceated a shitload of really cool stuff in mudbox, most recently an insanely detailed house made from a giant mushroom. The program is addicting to me because I create a very shitty low-res mesh in max, throw it in mudbox, and it comes back fantastic (although higher-poly count than I'd hoped. I must be fucking up or VrayNormalMaps isn't giving me the best results). Is this essentially Mudbox's niche in the 3D CGI world? I remember trying to get into ZBrush and got pretty good like 2 years ago but even then it bored me and it didn't connect directly to max or Maya like Mudbox or work so seamlessly-- seeing as I always do final renders with Vray in Max. I suppose if you just want to sculpt ZBrush is hard to beat. Or is it as good or better than Mudbox in the pipeline if you take the time to learn?

objective: Large Scale Structure guys help me - im screwed sorry for repost - but older posts havent been helpful cause i havent been specific enough. Im working in maya 2012 and i need to make this somehow. it has to be 3d so planes just wont work, we might have to fly into it even. So yeah, i think particles or fluids will be the answer but i havent gotten anywhere with my experiments. so far the closest has been making a bowl filled with spherish objects that have fallen into place with dynamics, and after that emitted particles from surface. tried to play around with force field generation and self attract to make the "paths" in between but it doesnt seem to get the right effect.. anyone have any ideas?
