Hello, I posted this in AGDG but people went past it. So, I 'll post this here as well, since people here helped me a lot to a previous question I had for UDK. Sorry if this doesn't belong to 3D. what is the most used tools for creating 2D games for Android, and maybe later port it to iOS? But Im mostly interestead in Android. Is it Android Developers Tools? Flash? Cocos2dx? Hard mode: It has to have good documentation and API reference, and must support a same UI across all different devices (I use now ADT and the only way to successfully support different device screens looking the same, is using LinearLayouts in XML files).

I'm working on 3ds max, I've made an animation of an exploding box (pic related) and I need to export it in FBX format, it's for a game that I'm developing with openGL, my problem is that when I export it in FBX format all the animation is lost and I only have a box. Here is a warning that I have when I export it : WDM modifiers from the following object(s) Modifier Stack have been disabled for the export process: -Box001 I know I'm missing something could you help me guys I've search every where on google but can't find me answer ! If something is not clear ask me I'll explain it again !

/3/, what is the best way to create efficient uvmaps for game models? The program I've been using is Wings3d (pic related, made this morning,) but I've started to think I'm probably a chump for spending this much time on my uv mapping. Is this the case? I've some experience with blender, mainly rigging/setting up models for export.

i'm thinking about trying some sort of rotoscoping, but single images. what i need is a 3d model of a snake that is relatively easy to pose in something like 3dsmax or blender needs to already have the animation skeleton built into it all my google searches just bring up 3d models of snake skeletons, not snakes.

I was told to look at cgcookie.com for tutorials but after watching the videos available I'm still left needing more, so if anyone has some helpful resources it would be greatly appreciated. Bonus points to stuff that goes more into theory/practice rather than do what I do verbatim.

I'm planning on retackling Z-Brush. 2 years ago I rage quit because Saving=saving a picture, not the project. However, back then I had a digital PDF which ran through how to make shit and do everything. Ok so I have a question, sometimes when importing meshes into 3ds max i just can't get smoothing groups to show up. I can assign smoothing groups like usual but no matter what I do and what viewport renedering i use (well, except faceted) the mesh appears totally smooth, what is wrong? please help its driving me crazy. pic related, it has all faces set to no smoothing group
