I have a Blender problem, /3/. I made these animations with a certain model and armature for my employer. However, after making about a dozen of these, they've decided to change the model. So now I've made the changes to the model (armature has stayed the same) but I'm not sure how to import the changes to the animations. Each animation is its own .blend file. Is there an easy way to import the new character model to these files without changing or remaking the animation? Or conversely, can I import the animation keyframes to the new model file I have? Friend and I are dicking around making a game in unity. Gameplay is pretty solid. Can I use Maya 2014 Student Edition to make models for the game? (We plan on deploying to mobile if we ever get it finished) It says I can't sell the art, but doesn't say I can't give it to free to a game company who will use it. Are there watermarks on the models or any definitive way of telling that a model came from unity just by looking at it in a game?

/3/ I have a problem. I'm a blender fag, been using it for a few months now and getting to make some bigger renders. Read up that you can use your graphics cards to speed up render times so I followed some tutorial and tried to find out what I could on how to use mine. >I have 2x Nvidia GeForce 9600 GT So i changed all the settings and stuff and boom - click render and nothing says its finished in a second and its just a black image. i need some good introduction to rigging/posing/animating in blender 2.6 pic related, that's me experimenting with posing a low poly human mesh. but those bended limbs look awful as fuck. i tried using weighted vertices groups but what's happening is that: no matter what value a vertex weight has, if it is 0 it doesn't move, if it ranges on the interval ]0,1] it moves just as much as if it was set to 1. the video tutorials are boring as fuck, i'd rather be reading. the wiki is helpful as well. but i need some thing that's more... guided? i'm self teaching how to use blender, and i have been putting this subject for along time, it looks hard and demoralizing as fuck to learn it. but i'm sure once i dominate it, it will prove to be very useful.
