How would one make similar balloon letters in blender? I tried with different fonts and subdivisions, but they end up blocky with sharp edges and not at all light looking. Is there a quick way or will I have to model each letter manually? thanks in advance

I finally got a book on ZBrush and I modeled one of the examples in the book. I wanted to get the general idea of his example, but I thought the tree was a little thick and the branches were too thick for a "spooky tree." This picture without grass and I'm about to upload an experiment with fibermesh. The book I followed, is Manuel Scherer ZBrush 4 Sculpting for Games Beginners Guide 2011

If you can create pretty much whatever character you need in Daz3d with Genisis, what's the point of learning to model organic characters? Won't DAZ one day reach the level where in just a few minutes you could recreate a character that it would take a professional 3d Modeler days to complete? Do you think in the future 3d Characters will be made for games and animated films primarily in such an application?

T/3/apots, I looked up a ton of info on the net, but after an entire day of trial and error I thought someone here might have a shorter answer. The top is my original topology and bot is the car's body with normals baked (disregard paintjob) in Unity. There are a few edges like the ones indicated by the arrow that keep bugging me. The UVs do not have a seam there and I made sure to contain the edges in a cage all over the model. Could you help me pinpoint the issue here? Is the topology horrible? I'm going for tablet/smartphone game models with this so I've been quite a miser with polys after the shape was finished, cutting off every single extra one (seeing how the model won't be animated). It is still WIP, so any pointers are welcome.

Hey guys, been advised to post here from /ic/ basically, this is my first 3d model render in zbrush. After stepping back and looking at it again, i can tell that the face anatomy is lacking and the fibermesh (hair) looks out of place. Yet, i tried to incorporate as much as possible - to learn more things. The skin shader also was a bitch, so I went with the one from the package. plz point things out that i can improve on for my nxt sculpt. Thanks!

/3/, how come there is so much noise in this render? I would think it is reflective (the white wall material is not reflective), it doesn't seem to be global subdivs (default 0.001, tried 0.1 ~no change, 1 will take too long). I have tried High (animation) preset... default is Medium (animation) for me. .... if it not reflective, how come the ceiling doesn't have the noise? This render is fumefx+realflow test set (this is frame 251/350), ill be looking for solutions in the meantime. 3ds max 2013, vray
