Hello /3/ I accidentally misclicked, my screens are messed up and I have no idea how to fix it. The top right screen was the default view, the one where you could move the camera freely with alt + mousebuttons but now it just let's me view my model from one side/angle. Also the top right and the bottom right screens are connected. When I, for example, zoom in the top right screen it automatically zooms in in the bottom one as well. Can someone please tell me how I can fix that?

Okay /3/, I'm building a PC, but I'm having trouble deciding between an AMD or nvidia GPU. Both support OpenCL, AMD is slightly faster from what I gather, but AMD doesn't have iray or mental ray which I'm very used to. What should I do?

Alright /3/, help me out here. This is my setup. I want to use 3ds Max with this setup. I want to be able to have a viewport on each of these screens, the perspective on the main monitor (on the laptop), top on the top viewport, and right/left on the right viewport. Problem is, I can't find any way to pop out a viewport in Max so that I can actually take advantage of these monitors. So, I'm coming to the people who will probably know. Is there a way to put a viewport in a different window? If so, how?

Hey /3/. i come from /ic/. Im a student currently taking a 3d modeling class. Working in Maya. I understand most of the tools now but im not sure what i should model to increase my skill. Is there like an object of some sort that is really good for practicing? Hey /3/ First timer here, I'm having trouble using Roadkill to unwrap some UVs. I've got most of it down but I just have this one boot that I have no clue how to unwrap without cutting some timy chunks out of the front. I want to try and unfold it cleanly into just one flat surface. If anybody has any tips on where to start it'd help immensely, I've been close a few times but there are always certain edges that I can't get right. I've got this one class this year where we get to decide what to do and since i didnt get any jobs i decided to go with learning blender. It's selflearning and i'll have to put up a plan on what to do with my hours. Im currently going through google but it would be nice to get some input from somone that knows this stuff on what i need to learn first and where to go from there. It'll only be a year so it probably won't be any fancy so maybe the basics of the tools and how to use them? i have no idea i just know people usually underestimate how hard this is and since i need to deliver a plan beforehand i really cant

Yo /3/, I'm following some 3D modeling course at university and for our first assignment we have to model a vehicle. As I'm currently playing Brütal Legends due to Humble, I decided a good idea would be the Deuce/Druid Plow from it. I was wondering how hard of a project it would be to create it, or atleast something that could be seen as it. Teachers expect us to work around 8-10 hours on it. (If this is important, the only modifiers we're allowed to use are Bend, Taper, Twist and FFD)
