So I'm a modeler, I've been doing shit with game engines and modelers since I was 10, and I'm 18 now, but I want to move up from drag and drop. I am somewhat fluent in construct and construct 2, and I understand the whole thing about global and private variables, simple logic. What's a good program and language for 3D game creation? I've attempted Panda 3D in the past and it was overwhelming and confusing, same with ardor.

so /3/, how do you prevent inner faces from overlapping when bending a cylindrical-like shape, lika an arm, or a finger?
Of course I know proper topology will prevent vertices from collapsing, but still, tight angles will make parts of the mesh intersecate with each other.
Is this inevitable? Is it acceptable in 2013? Are there ways to solve this?
