Anyone able to help me with a unity problem? I'm trying to instantiate a prefab of several small asteroids after a big asteroid has been hit, so it 'breaks up' into smaller chunks. In the script for the big asteroid I have it set up so when the bullet hits the big asteroid: Instantiate(debris,transform.position,transform.rotation); where debris is: var debris : transform In unity I have an empty game object as the parent of 7 smaller asteroid prefabs, which I have dragged into the debris variable in the inspector, but when I shoot the big asteroid, the 'debris' doesn't appear. Anyone know how to solve this, or know a better way to make a few smaller asteroids appear once a big one has been hit? I tried it before, making one of the smaller asteroids the parent instead of an empty object, and it worked, but when I shot the one smaller asteroid which was the parent, all the asteroids were destroyed too (the child asteroids all seemed to inherit the parent script) I've been searching all day for help with this but no luck. I am looking for someone to be my friend/3D modeler for a game I making. I have a 3D engine and know the scripting that engine uses it like unity 3Drad don't laugh it's good if you use scripting a more user friendly unity really. I even have ragdoll psychics sorted with the character able to pick up object move and throw them. Building I don't need so much help as I can use sketch up with nice shaders in the game engine. I have Kien from youtube as a voice actor and she kinda like the anti-nyanners but I think better the nyanners by far. I have a problem... I nedd to "fill" some "bevels" in a mesh i need to modify. Basically as in the picture (red is before, blue is after) i need to make a flat surface and eliminating those bevels or indentations in the mesh. What is the best way to do this in zbrush or blender? without fucking up the model... I'm pretty new to 3d btw...

Simple problem most likely, but I can't seem to apply this armature correctly. I've got all the vertex groups selected and named the same as the bones. But any way I try to Ctrl+P the objects together it doesn't work right. Any ideas why it doesn't work?
