/an/ RAGE Thread General

I say this is a rage thread but a lot of my experiences may just lead to sad feels instead.
Keep in mind that I was young during all of these, and this was long before animal welfare was a big deal. All my stories involve the same one person.
>have shit friend
>One day friend's mom picks me up, I see friend with a picnic basket
>holy fuck there is a bunny in the picnic basket
>impulse buy at pet store; they had nothing else to put it in
>bunny had to suffer 2 hour drive trapped in picnic basket or face hazard (bunny getting under brake peddle)
>bunny is center of attention on car ride, constantly tries to get out of basket
>finally at friend's place
>Ok where's the cage we are putting it in?
>oh, they are still going to use the picnic basket
>...and put a brick over it to keep the bunny from getting out
>after hearing their temporary bunny placement I make it my duty to play with bunny as much as possible
>most of the weekend it is kept in small, dark picnic basket and fed leftover vegitables from their dinners
>after that weekend I didn't hear much about the bunny so I assumed it got lost or died and avoided subject

How many of you anons lurk here because you desperately want a pet but, for whatever reason, cannot have one?
I spend a lot of time switching between /an/ and petfinder, but I know it would be a really stupid idea for me to get a dog right now. I'm unemployed, live in a tiny second-floor apartment, and when I get a job I'm going to be gone for at least 8 hours a day 5-6 days a week.
But it's nice to dream, isn't it, /an/?
This is Sampson. I guess he got adopted yesterday because I can't find his page anymore, but I liked to fantasize about what a great dog he'd be.
Post your dream pets, /an/

I made a post here a while ago about my sick rat. He was stumbling all over the place, not really active, heavy breathing. I managed to get some baytril from the vet and did a 2 week course. It seemed to perk him up for a bit, but now he seems worse than ever. He can barely walk, doesn't want to move, hangs his head over the edge, has a wet chin, heavy breathing, his head is on a tilt, he just seems like a totally different rat.
Now, my vet doesn't get here until Wednesday. He's not an exotic vet, just barebones stuff. So I don't know what to do. Should I get some more medicine and try and get him better or just have him put to sleep? He's 2 years old for what it's worth.
Succulent Identification Thread

This is the new and improved Succulent identification thread.
There are many, many types of Succulent and Cacti and a lot of them very alien like. You may have one and have not the slightest clue what it could be, if so, this thread is the place to be.
Picture is related. Sempervivum arachnoideum, otherwise known as the cobweb houseleek. One of the prettier Succulents in my opinion. And I seem to have a lot of people coming to me, asking if it is a type of echevaria, but it is not.
