Hi, /an/, I come with a question. My fiancé recently presented me with two doberman puppies to keep me company at night while he works the night shift. (inb4 omg but the shelter dogs, his family has bred dobies for decades and these two were given to me as birthday gifts).
Anyway, I like to jog. I grew up with English springer spaniels that were more than happy to run with me until my legs have out. I'm fine with multiple daily walks, and I've been researching more on dobermans. But I'm looking for more of a personal view. Has anyone here owned dobermans? Were they happier with just walks, or were they more inclined for running? I know they can be higher energy and playful, but I think there's a difference between rough housing in the backyard and a two mile jog.
Any feedback is appreciated!

My cat's gone missing. It's been two days now, plus the night he went out and didn't come back. He's old, been an outdoor cat his whole life. Past year or so he hasn't really gone further than the bench on the porch. I don't know what to do, looked through all the hiding spots around my yard, I went around the subdivision, went all back through the woods behind my house, put a sign up on the mail box, called the humane society, put an ad up on the internet, emailed some places with pictures. I can't fucking find him and no one has called or emailed me back.
The cat is pretty much my best (only) friend. I don't really have anything else and this shit is just fucking with me in all sorts of ways emotionally. It's cold out, it's been raining the entire time he's been gone, and now it's starting to fucking snow.
