I found my lovebird on the bottom of his cage this morning, barely conscious. I rushed him to the vet and they said he was in shock. They got him into an incubator and gave him some subcutaneous and iv fluids and a little bit of sugar water and he perked up slightly, but any time they tried to feed him he would vomit part of it back up. He's at the vet's office overnight in the incubator and they'll give me more updates in the morning.
The vet thinks that there's something pressing against his proventriculus - a major part of the bird disgestive system - and that's what's making him vomit his food back up. She's pretty much ruled out PDD since he hasn't lost weight and he is digesting at least some of what they feed him, but it could be an enlarged heart or liver or a tumor.
Some background - I adopted him in 09 from someone who had rescued him from an old woman who was keeping him in a 10gal terrarium and feeding him seeds and cereal. He's not banded so we don't know how old he is, but current guess is somewhere between 5 and 7. Poor diet early in life can have lasting damage.
He got sick in July this year but got better really quickly, so we figured it was just the lovebird equivalent of a 24-hour stomach virus and forgot about it. Now I'm not so sure.
Chico is a fighter so I think he has a chance. But man, this sucks. I'm worried about the little dude.
Here's a picture of him hiding in his tent. Get well soon, little buddy.

Ive got a touchy feely kinda cat, like most cats.
She could be in the deepest, most uninterrupted sleep, or across the house, or both, but she Always comes running and gets super loveable when i play my harmonica.
even when she is seemingly uninterested in me, as soon as i play she just gets playful, and ends up jumping on my lap. And if im standing, she follows me, and rubs against me while im playing.
Does she just want me to put my hands on her instead of my harmonica? Am i that bad? Or is it some kind of toy to her? if she can reach, sometimes she tries to reach for it, and grab at my hands.

Forgive me, I'm new to 4chan and my girlfriend usually posts on here. I decided to post on here because I have a problem and I remember her telling me how helpful people are on her when it comes to animals.
I came to my parents house from college for Thanksgiving Break.
I packed my rats in their cage in the back seat. Mid-way into the trip I noticed they were rusting because part of the cage had come apart from the bottom part, and I tried to clip it back into place (its a bird cage we transformed into a rat cage). In the process, I didn't realize my little girl Nixie has her tail in the way and it got caught. She squealed and screamed and twitcehd around. I quickly lifted the bars back up and she cried a little more and seemed frantic. I climbed back with the cage and examined her tail, it was bleeding. There is a little patch where she was scratched from either herself or from the bars, and the tip of her tail which I assume is what got closed down on. The tip of her tail is dark red and bloody, but not falling off or cut open. I think it was similar to if we closed a door on our finger, the bars are very round and not sharp. She has a little part of the tip that looks like where it closed on it. She was very calm the rest of the ride and hid in her bed. She let me pet her head, but I didn't want to hold her because she was still scared. She seems to be alright, she walks sometimes but mostly wants to sleep. I took her out when we got home and wiped her tail with a warm cloth and applied Neosporin to the tip of her tail.
I want to get help from you all as to what I should do, or if I should be concerned. I can't go out and buy new bedding for them, because my parents aren't too fond of my pets and won't take me to Petsmart and I don't have a car of my own here.
What else should I do to ensure that she recovers fully?
I'm very worried that I may have broken it or caused internal bleeding. I feel terrible.
I'll attach photos of the injury.

Hey guys, one of my friends posted this on facebook.
"I have a favor to ask of you guys: there's a new show set to air in a few days called Killer Karaoke. The producers, crew, and host have all participated in blatant animal cruelty by dropping non-aquatic snakes into a large vat of ice water, to be kicked and thrown around by a frightened show contestant. I urge you all to sign this petition speaking out against the show. As of now, no action has been taken. The producers claim that no animals were harmed, but snakes can be seen floating belly-up in the promotion video and a majority of those snakes will no doubt come down with fatal respiratory infections in a week's time. Again, I urge you to sign the petition. This isn't just about sympathy for reptiles--this is about speaking out against animal abuse on the whole."
I wasn't too certain whether or not this was abuse, besides to me hating Steve-O I watched it and it does seem like the snakes are incredibly stressed and you can see some floating belly up in this video. Is this abuse?

There's a family of Foxes that live in a wooded area near my house, I've seen about 2/3 of them so far.
I know where they live, I want to take them out. I see them at around 1:30, 2:00am prowling the streets. Last night a Badger was cornered under my Dad's car, 2 of the Foxes were trying to get at him. I know, it's nature.
I want to know how to get at these things and kill.
I don't have access to guns. I live in the UK. I don't want to use guns.
Any form of trap I can use? I know where it's hideout is. I'm willing to listen to any advice.
