How do I know it's time to euthanize my cat? She's an old stray i picked up in june or july. Shes got tumors under her arm some neurologic damage to her spine (if you scratched her butt she would fall over) She has some kidney issues too Shes been doing weird things all day though All day she has been 'headpressing' into this one corner, shes been pacing around the room, she fell down the stairs today too, but slow enough a cat could catch themself, but she didnt. Shes also been tripping over everything. She keeps trying to lay down but it looks painful, shes gets about halfway then stops and sits up. So im thinking its time to put her down.. but i hate admitting it i feel like im stepping out of line by deciding the life of another being What if im wrong? Please help make the right decision Pic is her

Dear /an/ About two months ago, we found this beehive crate in an abandoned house of sorts. We took it, washed it out with paint thinner etc. and gave it a coat of paint. Today, I come back from work and find out that all of a sudden, in the span of less than 6 hours, HUNDREDS of bees moved in. In the middle of the city. I don't even know how many of them there are, I saw about two dozen flying around and any hole that I peek in through I only see a swarm of fucking bees. Now my question, to put it gently, is what the fuck do I do about this? I know bees are good and all, but I suddenly have a whole hive buzzing about. I'm sure they require SOME upkeep or taking care of, and I'm worried that they'd sting my cats. tl,dr: BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES

Two wild meows live on my deck. I feed them twice a day. I dunno what they do in winter. Considering getting some sort of kennel. Is there anything that can be bought for under 100-200? If not, should there be peculiarities as compared to a dog kennel if built by hand?

How do I get a cat and dog to get along? All they do is chase each other around my apartment and paw/bite each other then go back to running around like retards. They haven't gotten into a serious fight but I'd like to see them eventually cuddle or at least not run around the house because noise complaints. Both are roughly the same age (6-8 months). Cat is bigger by a landslide.

New Spiderfriend here

Hello, /an/, I've never posted on this board before, but I was hoping somebody here would be helpful with my question. I own a page called "Spidder" kinda of like Snek or Birds tho. I just post cute spiders or funny stuff relating to spiders in general. My question to all of you is that I am seeking somebody who could really consider themselves an arachnologist by profession or at near equal terms with lots of experience in arachnids in general. I'm hoping to add them as an admin and what not. If you are interested, type down a quick bio of experience and some way for me to contact you, no numbers though please. I'm looking to spread the fascination of arachnids in general to all kinds of people, and I need a bit of help with the technical side of spider keeping and studying! I'm not pimping my FB page, I'm just asking for a resident spider expert and seeing if anybody takes interest. Thanks guys!

My friend and I are coming up to Colorado next week. I have heard the snow pretty much limits our options of hikes, so I have come to /an/ for the experts opinion. We would like a trail that is kind of tucked away that not many people go on, and it must be beautiful/intriguing in some way. We are fairly experienced hikers, so anything moderate or easier is great, but preferably not a dangerous hike. The trailhead needs to be easily accessible by a honda accord (we dont mind walking a ways to get to the trail head) and the closer to Texas it is the better, but I am open for all suggestions. It also obviously has to be hike-able during this exact time of year. Thanks for your input ahead of time TL;DR need a trail that is easy to access, secluded, beautiful, and preferably southeast colorado Pic related; booths falls

Hey /an/, I recently got back from the vet checking to see why my cats stomach was losing so much hair and also some spots on her front and back legs. My vet told me that it's most likely due to stress/ocd and obsessive cleaning. He gave me medication that supposedly will help calm my cat down (she's completely healthy every other way so I more or less figured it was mental health) I'm going to treat her with the medication and also try to play with her more through the day (although I give her a lot of attention as is) Has anyone else had this problem? It started around summer time and there hasn't been any changes to her environment since then. Just curious about other peoples stories/solutions if you have any. pic is her currently

Any mycologists able to help me identify this fungi? Location: desert region of Southern California. When disrupted (hit with a stick ) it crumbles incredibly quickly and their seems to be an immediate release of millions of spores that become airborne right away in a brown-green haze.

Fucking help. So I've got my hands on an orphaned Australian possum. Found the poor thing in a parking lot. Have to keep it safe for a couple days before I can get it to a shelter, give me a crash course. I'm great with chickens and I've had reared baby zebra finches smaller than my fingernail. What do I need? Baby bottle? What formula? Heat lamp? Towel? I'll see what I can find online, and update you all accordingly. Fuck it's small.

What's the point of getting a dog in a country where you aren't allowed to train it to protect you?

My rat knocked a book off a chair and sloughed off some of the skin on his tail. How serious is this injury? I'm willing to take him to the vet. He's been licking it and I'm just worried he'll start degloving the tail, anyone have experience with rat wounds like this?
