My new ball python just shed for the first time yesterday. His pattern/skin looks much brighter after shedding. He was a dark green color before, now he's more of a light green. Anyone else have this happen?

Just bought a Pac-Man frog today, how often should I feed it and what should I feed it? The guy at the store said they where feeding it pinkie mice every couple days but I read that you should feed them just mice. I gave it 8 medium crickets today and it ate maybe 5 of them.

Raccoon dogs - growing problem in Europe

Raccoon dog aka jenotskaja sobaka aka tanuki is cute fluffy piece of cancer which is spreading all over eastern Europe. It all began when Russians thought it's nice idea to move these fluffballs out of Far East so they'd get better quality fur. They thought, they did - and now these furry creatures quickly spread thanks to: -Living in the night -Staying far away from humans -6 to 8 cubs every year (might be even 15!) -No natural enemies (wolves hunt them but these are only in the mountains) -Ecoterrorists which told ppl who buy furry coats are evil, support animal cruelty etc (thanks fags, now nobody wants to hunt tanukis) It's one of invasive species so it compete well with local foxes & badgers, it also is dangerous for birds living near water as it's hunting for hatchlings. Various governments fight with raccoon dogs, but it's not too successful as jenots are reported to spread west, including west Germany and Italy. Thanks a lot, Russia.

I bought some lycoris radiata bulbs from internet, and there is only one who is getting new roots but the branch were is suposed to grow a flower is kind of dry (the red circle part) So I was wondering If I should cut a little to remove the dry part or should I just let it there and let nature be btw can I "revive" the others bulbs if I let them rest in warm water?

>taking a walk to petco to get crickets >birds, hamsters, and mice and shit are all healthy and lively >half the fish are quarantined, 'under observation' >reptiles are all sickly looking >bearded dragons and gecko tanks full of that 'calci-sand' bullshit >iguana's nose is all scarred/torn up from constantly rubbing on its tank wall >tortoises shells are peeling >one of the chinese water dragons was actually dead in its tank, laying motionless on its side why is this allowed?

Odd bump on dog

Hi /an/. I was petting my dog and felt a small, hard bump on my dog's skin. It was hard to find because he's covered in so much hair. But it has little black dots all around it. I'm wondering if anyone here has any idea what this is?

Reminder that the salamander and newt hobby is getting completely shut down soon. If you wanted any species of salamander/newt that isn't a tiger salamander or axolotl, you have until january 28th to get it.

Help Identifying Type of Cat / Stray Cat Stories Thread

Does anyone know what kind of cat this is? I'm really curious since we found her outside as a malnourished kitten around a year ago. She could barely meow or speak since a bot fly larvae decided to fuck up her nose, but now she makes pretty chirping noises when I play with her, or when I pet her/give massages. She also chatters at birds and squirrels occasionally. Her fur is very soft, like bunny fur, and it grew out more in the winter. If anyone wants to know anything else about her, ask away. Other than that, stray cat stories thread.

Never owned a dog, Dog sitting 2 dogs. I don't know if the Labrador is trained or not. If I am not playing tug of war with it or petting it, it whines/moans/barks. I've tired it out to the point of it can barely hold onto it's toy and if I even look away from it, it starts whining, barking, and nudging at it's toy. Try playing with it again, and the toy just lays in it's mouth. Ignoring it for 30+ minutes just consisted of barking/moaning. Telling it 'No' in a stern voice just results in barking/moaning. What am I doing wrong?

Does anybody really have this? It seems like they were in every older cartoon, even through the 90s but I've never seen one in my life. Were they really popular at some point in time?
