Don't worry, this isn't a name my cat thread, /an. I just need your help and information.
For studies, I'm currently in Indonesia (West Sumatera). When travelling today, me and my friend found something lying right on the middle of the road. It was this little black kitten and since at had been raining all day, it was soaked and it was just sitting there crying.
First, I picked it up, put it on the side of the road and wanted carry on, but I thought there's no way it could survive without the help of his mother or someone else.
I decided to take it with me.
So here I am, in my house on the university campus, with this little guy to take care of. He can barely walk around (he still has a bit of trouble using his back legs) so I suspect he's around 5 weeks old. He still has blue eyes and he can easily fit in the palm of my hand.
Now I have experience with raising cats, but here's the thing, they don't really care for pets here. There are no vets and they don't sell cat food. I need to keep him alive with what's available.
Right now I'm thinking of feeding him milk (it comes in a powder form here - I'll upload a photo of it later). Is it the right thing to feed him at this point (I have a syringe, so i can use it for feeding), or should I start giving him small pieces of fish?
Also, how likely is he to be carrying diseases? Will it be of any harm to humans? Maybe I should keep it outside in a box?
Well, any help and thoughts are greatly appreciated. I'm determined to help this little dude stay alive.
PS: Sorry for the shitty photo, but he moves around a lot when I try to shoot a picture. I'll upload better ones when I can.
