I am a professional beetle breeder located in Germany, Baden-Württemberg.
I breed beetles since 2008 and have successfully bred more than 80 different species since.
This thread is for beginners, amateurs and for professional breeders.
Here you can share your experience with other beetle enthusiasts, discuss the hobby, ask ( me ) questions or get advice.
I will try my best to answer every question and give advice to the beginners of the hobby, or to those who are interested in it and would like to inform themselves.

Discuss anything aquarium related here, including inhabitants, decor and issues.
Google is your friend.
Feel free to ask questions but know that there are a lot of resources out there that could answer your question a lot faster and accurately than /an/.
Make sure to include these things in your post before asking because we can't help you if we don't have the full picture:
-any and all inhabitants + how long you've had them
>How to handle algae, snails, lighting, easy plants for beginners etc.) :
>How to cycle your tank: http://pastebin.com/x4WnB0Ah
>General aquarium care sheets - http://www.aquaticcommunity.com/
>Livestock and plants for sale - http://www.petsolutions.com/ http://www.aquabid.com
We all make mistakes, so don't put anyone down - rather be helpful.
Chances are, you made a similiar mistake when you were starting out.
If you feel bothered by ila, just filter him, ignore him, call him out, whatever, just never follow his advice or consider his statements seriously, especially if you are a beginner. You might aswell put bleach in your tank.

Hey /an/, I'm in a shitty situation and I need advice. My landlord (who I live with) has a cat that's 13 years old with 3 paws in the grave. It's so feeble it can barely walk because it's claws get stuck in the carpet and it isn't strong enough to pull them out. It can't groom itself at all,and on top of that a few days ago it had a seizure, due to recurrent kidney infections. During this seizure it went totally blind, and now it just wanders around a few steps at a time, bumping in to things.
It's obviously not going to live much longer but it's also obviously suffering. We have to give it four medications twice a day, and I've tried to talk my landlord in to getting it put down but he refuses.
He let's it outside during the day, I've considered taking it to the vet to get it put down and never saying anything so he would just think it ran away.
Does this make me an evil person? Or should I do it to put kitty bro out of it's misery? Thanks.
