I just found a big ass False Tarantula outside on our wall. It looked like he was climbing towards the door for warmth. So, my two roommates wanted to kill or move it away from the house, but I told them it would probably just come back for the warmth, so they let me get it into a gallon vase and put it out in the garage for the night. I was going to buy a setup for a tarantula anyway, but is there any chance I could take care of this big boy instead? It's winter and going to be getting pretty chilly soon out in that garage, so not sure if I would need a heat source for it or if they hibernate? I'm looking up care sheets right now too, just wondering what your guys input on this is. Good idea, bad idea, terrible idea? And, no, I'm not really interested in holding it.

>want to adopt a dog >get in contact with kennel >have to fill out questionnaire and provide ID beforehand >ok fair enough >have to go through a selection process afterwards >if I'm selected I have to have a meet and greet session with the dog??? >if that goes well the carer of the animal will then conduct an inspection of my property to deem if it is suitable >if it is I then get to opportunity to pay $600 to adopt the dog >atop that once I actually buy the dog, I then have to go through a 2 week trial period where the carer inspects me and the dog to make sure all is well >once the trial period is over I get to actually own the dog What in the ever-living FUCK?

Is this bonsai tree dead? Can anyone help? Background: it's a Chinese elm, was doing good, then went like this. Well into spring here (Australia). Should it be growing it's leaves back? What can I do to save it?

Rat thread

Hello everyone ! Rat thread ! Post them, tell stories, ect... Also, question; a friend of mine goes to china in a few weeks, and therefore can't keep her 3 rats (Turing, Gödel and Cauchy , i'll call them the math crew). Since i already have 3 (Odin, Thor, and Loki (the gods crew) (pic related, the two last) ), she asked me if i could take care of those. I understand it would be double the time/work/food/trouble, but i wonder ; - is 1 m3 enough for 6 rats (even tho most of the time the god crew has access to a full room, and the math crew will have too after some times) ? - How the hell do i do to make them live together ? I read a lot abour adopting new rats but it's always the case "1 new rat and several old rat" ? - They have very different education, life habits, food habits. How will it go wrong ? - Should i say i can't adopt ? Thanks all !

Can anyone identify this bizarre animal for me? I've narrowed it down to goose but the exact species I can't pinpoint. I looked at a bird guide and the only bird with a bump on its snout is a mute swan and this ain't it. It was hunting with a pack of Canada geese if that helps.

Previous thread >>2252372 Inverts-that-arent-shrimp Edition, Mk. II >The diving bell spider (Argyroneta aquatica) is one of the few species of spider known to live almost entirely under water. As with other spiders it breathes air; when submerged an air bubble is trapped by a dense layer of hydrophobic hairs on its abdomen and legs. A. aquatica is able to remain submerged for prolonged periods of time due to the silk-based structure it constructs in order to retain an oxygen supply, named after the diving bell structure it resembles. >https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diving_bell_spider >http://youtu.be/1rlt9yAhqTw Discuss anything aquarium related here, including inhabitants, decor and issues. So my cat just finished being treated for her first UTI, and the vet tells me that my cat needs to move from her dry cat foot to wet cat food from here on out. I don't know which brand to use, and of course a google search for "wet cat food" turns up mountains of advertised shit. I need something that won't cost me my left nut in price, but isn't processed cornmeal shit from god knows where. Any tips?

Dog park

As most dog owners know, both male and female dogs hump, not for sexual reasons, but to show dominance and play. Dogs play fight and dogs hump. It's what they do. Even neutered and spayed dogs do that. So why do some fucktards get their jimmies rustled when a dog humps theirs while they were playing? Especially since it's not being aggressive. It's basically dog behavior. What do these jackasses expect dogs to do?

I adopted my dog about two weeks ago. So far, he's been sleeping with me during the nights, and on the kitchen during the days (IF he naps). He has his own comfy bed and has water at all times. The thing is, I heard after a few days, I should stop him from sleeping with me or he'll start feeling anxious without me. Can I let him sleep on the kitchen during the night? Is there a downside to it? So far, he hasn't cried or anything. Pic related; my puppy.
