Packy The Elephant, Age 54, Passed Away Today

Hello /an/. This is my first time posting here, but I wanted to leave a sort of memorial for a cultural icon of my home city (Portland, OR), a legend among zoos and a blessing to the animal kingdom.
Packy the Elephant was born just before 6 AM on April 14th, 1962. An elephant hadn't been born in captivity in the United States of America for the last 44 years, and knowledge on how long an elephant's pregnancy lasted was virtually unknown. His mother, Belle, taught zoologists and scientists that an elephant's pregnancy lasted about 21 months; over the course of his lifespan, Packy would prove this again by siring 7 children of his own, many of whom became the ancestors of captive elephants around the nation and the world.
Packy put Portland on the map with his size, durability, and natural charm, with people of all ages flocking the the Oregon Zoo just to see him mill about and trumpet. His birthday was practically a state holiday, and his family grew exponentially as he aged with grace to the ripe age of 54; one of the oldest elephants ever recorded in captivity, and potentially one of the oldest elephants to ever live on Earth.
Sadly, in 2013, he and his son Rama (who continues to live at the Oregon Zoo) were diagnosed with tuberculosis, and had to be separated and treated away from the rest of the herd. Both individuals seemingly beat away the disease and continued living normally, but while Rama has mercifully remained clean, Packy's symptoms returned in a drug-resistant form. Packy himself did not seem to be troubled by his disease, continuing his life as normal without any slowing-down or weakness, but zookeepers knew that it was only a matter of time for the big guy.
And so today, early in the morning of February 9th 2017, Packy was euthanized and left this world, positively ancient at 54 years old. He will be remembered as a legend and an icon, and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Thank you, /an/, for listening.

Any here experienced with boa constrictors? I need some advice. I've owned snakes and other reptiles before, so I'm not a complete beginner or retarded, I'm just a little worried.
I got a neonate B. constrictor imperator about a month back, on like December 31st or 30th. It was from a reputable breeder and everything, not Petsmart or something. Anyways, he had to be flown in, so I'm guessing they didn't feed him for about a week before his flight. When I got him, I set up his cage. 90F on the warm side, ambient hovering around 80-82, drops to 78 at night. He's got several hides, fresh water, humidity I try to keep between 50-60%. I waited a week to feed him. Frozen/thawed pinkies, I thaw them out in 100F water for about 5-10 minutes. Didn't eat. So I waited another week, didn't eat. Fast forward to today. It's been over a month and he still refuses to eat. I'm getting a little worried.
I've tried moving it around a bit to make it seem "alive" and he doesn't care. Doesn't even act like he's threatened by it. I've been monitoring his weight. He weighed 65g when I got him and he's down to 63g now, so he's lost 3% of his body weight in about a month.
At what point should I get concerned? If at all possible I don't want to force feed him. That's very stressful, for me and him. But eventually I'll have to if he doesn't eat. should I wait until he's lost 5% of his body weight? 8%? 10%?
I'm going to try finding a place to get live pinkies today and see if he'll eat that. But I need him to get used to eating frozen thawed food.
baby BCI hasn't eaten in a month, won't eat no matter what I do, has lost 3% of his body weight, at what point should I be concerned and force feed him?
pic related isn't mine

My fellow 4chans, we need your help to bring this cat killer down! As you can see from the photo what kinds of man we dealing with. He goes by the name Kevin Rob. Lives around Broken Hill area at N.S.W Australia. He lures innocent cats, who comes to show him love and affection, then he brutally kills them, afterward he posts them on Facebook for laughs and giggles, we told him over and over again, not to kill these innocent animals, we also tried to call the Police and they did shit all! Called RSPCA and they did shit all! So we are begging for the 4chan community to help us bring justice.
