I bought two new pullets today to drop into my chook yard after we had a significant numbers drop leaving us with only two remaining chickens Now, unfortunately the chicken survivors are being pretty rude to the pullets, not as rude/violent as I would've expected, but still noticeable. What has been happening though is that the new chickens don't seem to want to eat or drink at all, they're ignoring the food and water laid out. My best guess is they are scared of the older chickens I'm pretty sure the pullets are ISA browns. Any advice to at least stop most of the chicken bullying? Seems I have no chicken pictures either

So I got a dog off of craigslist and once I saw it, I knew I did my good deed for the day. This is five minutes after I brought her inside. She is a lab/pitt mix and at 6 months is 5 lbs as of 5/11 when I brought her to the vet. I'm worried about future problems from being so small and skinny at 6 months. I was looking online and pitts are supposed to be like 30-35 and labs 40-50 so she should def be somewhere in those numbers. I've been feeding her twice a day and was wondering if anyone had any food suggestions or even supplements to help her grow big and strong.

There's this Estonian organisation that has a bunch of nature cameras where you can watch wild animals eating and stuff but ever since they got bought out by another group they've changed their cameras around and their deer camera has been taken offline indefinitely. Is there anywhere else online I can watch deer eat? Wild or captive, I'm not fussy but I'd much prefer wild deer.

Hey /an/, I inherited a few loaches from a friend. There is a small one, a bigger one, and an even slightly bigger one. The small one right now is doing fine, the bigger one is kind of sluggish and sitting in the corner of his house, but the biggest one is breathing very quickly, his gills appear to be vibrating more than actually breathing, I can't count their speed. I'm not sure what to do, the lady at the store said he might be just old and dieing but I don't want to have him die if I can save him.

Is it ethical to own a chameleon? I am on the upper east coast and it can get pretty cold. Other than that I can feed it and take care of it. Will it be miserable? My turtles died recently, and I have been feeling a void in my life while I've been petless.

Over the past few days I've noticed a few things with my snake whom I've had for a little over a month now. The first being the cup of sphagnum moss I keep in his cage for humidity he knocks over and spreads the moss around. Every time I put the moss back in and turn it right side up, the next morning its all over the place. He started doing this about a week ago, I don't have any fake branches or anything in there for him to climb on so is it possible he's bored? He's about 8 months old now and I was advised to keep the cage simple so all I have is a water dish, the moss container and his hide box. The other thing, starting 3-4 days ago he has been hiding under the paper towel I'm using as bedding as opposed to his hide box, and is a lot more jumpy when I go to pick him up, even attempted to bite me 1 time the other night which is only the first time time this has happened since the first day I got him. Could he be shedding? I held him last night and his skin looked normal and wasn't rumpled at all. The last time he shed he went and coiled at the bottom of the moss box for 2 days and shed when he came out, with no signs prior the 2 days. His behavior suggests to me that he's going into shed and just trying to be as moist as possible, but since this is my first snake I really can't tell. His last shed was about 4 weeks ago if that helps at all. Pic related, not mine but a spitting image.

Southern California woman fatally mauled by pit bulls

http://news.yahoo.com/southern-california-woman-fatally-mauled-pit-bulls-004701208.html Do people really still believe pit bulls are suitable pets? >Yeah well I keep mine on a leash, the owners are just dumb! If your dogs first instinct is to act aggressively towards humans, it does not belong in public at all. Make it a law for pit bull owners to carry a tranquilizer gun with them or something, tired of seeing all these pit bull attacks on humans.

Hey /an/, where is the best place to find a big domestic cat that is around 18-22 lbs? I don't want a fat cat, but a cat that weighs that much because of their size. Most our local shelter cats are pretty small. I had a friend that owned pretty large cats, but we don't keep in contact much for me to ask.

Unhealthy cat?

My friend just got a cat from a pal of his (he is no fixed), to me he looks a bit unhealthy, to me he seems really skinny, and his litter box trips are concerning to us. He literally just shit more mass than his head, it smells like he sprays when he uses it every time. And it can clear the room over here. What could be wrong and/or any ideas of how to fix this? (trying to avoid the cost of going to a vet, and my friend evacuated the poo before proof pic could be taken)

Hey /an/, I have an aggressive cat. Or, well, my roommate does. She's nine months old, and was spayed at six months, approximately. Up until that point in time, she was an affectionate, playful cat. Even after the spay, she remained virtually unchanged. It was the vet visit after her spaying when she changed. She grew incredibly aggressive, and though assuredly not in pain, etc, she remained that way. She hasn't changed since. She attacks people at random, is highly territorial, and dislikes everything she used to enjoy. She sits and growls at the other cats, and bites/scratches anyone around her. She used to love being brushed, and now hates being touched at all. Any ideas, /an/? My roommate and I are at a loss for what to do. We just tried to trim her nails, which was never an issue before, but has become an ordeal to end all ordeals now. Pic relevant, it's from when she used to adore cuddles and the like.
