Hello /an/. Recently a weed has been popping up around my Chicks n Hens, and I would like to have it identified. I live in Pennsylvania, and I am just hesitant to touch it because I am very allergic to the 'poisons' family (Poison Ivy/Sumac/Oak) and it looks like it could possible be one due to the sharp looking leaves that have a shiny sheen. Could anyone help me out identifying this? Thanks.

No pet pallas cats, yet they're quite most attractive cats. Why?

So it seems the pitbull is stuck in the middle of a war between pit apologists who believe their dogs can literally do no wrong and sensationalists who call them canine psychopaths. It's hard to find good, solid, objective information on these animals as dogs. I want to be able to form my own opinion on this dog, but it's hard to do that if the only things I hear are either "oh but my angel would never hurt a fly" or "these dogs are nothing but mindless killing machines". So, without the sappy eyed apologists jumping in and sugar coating everything, or the sensationalists raging on about how bloodthirsty they are, I'd like some popper information of the breed and for someone to tell me just what their capabilities are.

>be Wednesday >look at front door coming home from school >OH GOD A HUGE SPIDER >spider is a zigzag spider >sees us every week, opening and closing door >doesn't jump on us >is okay with our daily living habits >spiderbro is a great guy >catches bugs in peace >be Sunday >spider bro is chillin' all cool on the front door as usual >cubscouts come selling popcorn >they're cute and little so I must buy some >say "Hey guys, can I buy anything?" >they're stunned by spiderbro for about 3 seconds before their "Hi, I'm..." speach >go inside to get cash >can't afford a bag, so I decide to give them $5 for charity >open door >cub scouts are beating spider bro to death with their shoes >look at them crushing spiderbro >tears well up in eyes >say "Here's your money guys.." >go inside >weep softly for spiderbro >write this REST IN PEACE SPIDERBRO, MAY HEAVEN BE FULL OF FLYS AND MOTHS.

Found a baby bird. What do. Already made a kind of nest with a bandana and a box I had. Crumbled up some chips and put water in some water bottle caps, left that in there too. It's not a super-baby, like it has feathers and stuff, but it can't fly much higher than jumping yet. Google had info about birds who hadn't grown feathers yet, looking to get something more specific here. What does it eat? I'm in college without a car, so I don't have access to some things.

Hi /an/ My cat has to always have the option of entering or leaving a room. This is bothersome when I close my door at night to sleep and she scratches and cries to come in, and then immediately leaves. I don't want to have to lock her in a separate room at night, but she's insistant and noisy. She has plenty of places to sleep in my room and toys. Installing a cat door isn't an option, unfortunately. Is there anything I can to curb her behaviour?

Do animals know DAT FEEL?

>>4 years ago >brother gets a cat from his colleague at job >cat doesn't like living indoors and spends most of the day climbing trees and eating little birds >it becomes almost like a stray cat, but comes to the backyard to sleep with bro's dogs 'cause they're friends with the cat >>3 years ago >bro dies >cat stills comes to the backyard to drink water and sleep with the dogs >>Couple weeks back >my brother's birthday was on September 7th >I lit a candle the night before and place a cup of water beside his portrait >next morning, the cat is meowing in the front door >open the door and the cat comes inside >cat spends most of the day inside the house and lets me pet him >next day, the cat goes back to the trees and his usual routine of not giving a fuck It felt really weird. Can animals see ghosts? My friend told me that my brother's ghost came to the house that day, and the cat was happy to see him. I don't believe in ghost and such, but do animals have feelings? Was it just coincidence? >pic unrelated

I just bought my first Beardie, and I have some concerns. He looks healthy, no discharge, no missing limbs or toes, but he won't eat. I don't know if the pet store had already fed him before I took him home. I have a little bowl for food and water in the corner of his tank, and I'm not sure if he knows the water's there. That's my second concern, how do I get him to drink some water? I don't want to pick him up and show him because I read somewhere that it'll stress him out if I do it right away. Any other tips are appreciated.

I don't ever really come by /an/ but I must ask: do you guys love bats? They're so fucking cute. Like little dogs or mice with wings. When I see them on my nocturnal walks they make me laugh as they fly so awkwardly compared to the graceful gliding of birds, almost as if they are thinking "oh shit, oh shit, gotta flap, gonna fall!" Sometimes they buzz within feet of me and it seems almost as if they are showboating.

Hello /an/. I don't post much here nor do I hope to have to post here again. You see, it's about my cat, Cicana. She's been having some problems, having some sort of seizures, she starts drooling and then shortly after starts twitching and tossing around, losing control of her bladder as well. She's about 10 years old, has had only one previous health complication: she had some sort of deformed kittens in her womb and went to surgery for that, the kittens in question were of abnormal growth, as the vet said, one of them was facing the wrong way so it died of suffocation and she was having troubles too, so the vet just asked us whether to try and save the other kitten or her and we chose her. That was 2-3 years ago now. This attack wasn't the first, but the vet suggested that we give her some yeast in her food to see if that might help improve her state. And it did, for a while, but then after some time she wouldn't eat her food if it had yeast in it, thus the seizure would happen again after some time. Now, it's Sunday night, rather late and all that, and we will be taking her to the vet in a day or two, but I was hoping to hear from you guys if you might know what's going on with her.

Old cat and new puppy

Recently my parents have gotten a puppy from some relatives of ours as they had no space for anymore pets. It's a small little dog, I don't know what breed it is or how old it is (I haven't been home to see it yet). This is the first dog we have ever had, up til now it has been mostly cats. But we have had a cat for the last 9 or 10 years, has been very upset by this new dog coming into the house. Most days he'd sleep on the couch as he'd be let outside for the night and come back in to sleep. But now I am hearing that he is very 'angry', hissing a lot more and constantly bawling to be let out. (Which he never did before) I am a little worried about this stress on him might make him run away, which would suck as he has been a pet for so long with us. I'm going home next weekend and I was just wodnering if you guys had any experience with helping old and new pets get along better? thank you (pic is the cat)

Hello /an/, I have some pet urin stains on wood floor that I need to get up. It has turned the wood black. I read that if you use peroxide carefully, it will lighten the stains. Have any of you tried this? And am I correct in assuming that when they said peroxide they meant hydrogen peroxide? Thank you in advance.
