I have 3 Fire Belly Toads (use to be 4, til one escaped, hid in my work shirt and got washed and dried), and I would really like to make their 2 long look badass as fuck.
Right now they have a fake floating lilly pad, and a floating log, encompassing about 50% of the water's surface, and the water will be about halfway full (so on a 20 long about 6 inches of water including an inch of gravel) and I was wondering, if there were any sort of semi aquatic/aquatic plants small enough to fit in a 20 long, but big enough for the frogs to sit on.
Not only that, but I realize these fuckers love to climb, so I would also like to have some plants that come up out of the water and provide plenty of shade/climbing room.
The reason I want shade is because these guys don't particularly enjoy a lot of light, and I know I'm going to have to get a light to sustain the plants.
I also have feeder guppies and ghost shrimp living in the water, along with my hundreds of baby golden apple snails I'm raising to feed to my Blue-Tongue Skink. So it's a nice little ecosystem.
