Overweight corn snake?

I'm taking care of my little sister's corn snake for a year while she's in her college dorm. The exotic pet shop she got her in (which has always been professional and hasn't steered our family wrong before, but...) said that if she was looking around for another mouse to eat, then to keep feeding her.
She's about 1 1/2 years old, and I'm worried she's gaining a lot of weight. I'm not usually in charge of this snake, but my sister told me that she ate one full sized mouse / week.
She was biting (not striking, just nomming onto people's hands...with her teeth) and the pet store said up her food intake and that would stop the problem. We've gone to two mice a week, sometimes three, and it has stopped her trying to eat our arms. But I'm afraid this is way too much... She's very very wide now, especially in her second half.
What should I switch her to? One mouse a week? How can I stop her from trying to eat my arm/hands (which are washed, do not smell like mice, she is fed in a separate container, etc) in the meantime?
I'll post some (bad, she's perky today) pics; I fed her Monday, so I *think* that's why she's so bulgy towards the end of her cloaca(? her snakehole) but it's always somewhat big. Also, she has thin pale lines on her sides, between her scales, that especially show up when she eats.

I'm about to adopt one of the little furballs in the pic, they are pure siberian breed, supposedly the most hypoallergenic cats around.
But i wanted to know, does anybody here also have an hypoallergenic cat ?
Did it work ? if yes, how well did it work ? My allergies are not that bad, but i still spend at least an hour trying to peel my skin off if i touch my face after touching a cat, but i 'd really like to have one home.
tl;dr : allergic to cat, is a hypoallergenic breed like the siberian a good idea ?

I visit my cousin a lot (we live a block away from each other), and she recently, last month or so, got a kitten.
I don't know much about cats, and I'll admit, I'm not much of an animal person, so I was hoping someone here could explain a few things to me.
Stormy's about 7-8 weeks old now, and Deb's had her for about 5 weeks. At least when she interacts with me, she often arches her back and fluffs up, which I'm told indicates aggression. She'll also run at me, and pounce at my fingers and toes if I don't pay attention, despite being about 60 times her size. OTOH, if I turn and look at her, she often runs away.
Ordinarily, I'd think she's scared, but she has no compunction about running up to me and biting me, she'll climb up my leg if it helps her get somewhere, and at least once a visit, she's climbed onto my lap or my shoulder and fallen asleep.
Can anyone explain this to me?

My fish has always been chill, but recently it has been more lazy than usual.
For the past month the only change I have made was buying a stronger filter, which I turn off at night. Also more algae has been growing, but I think that's because my snail died and he isn't here to clean up.
Its a one year- old betta in a 5 gallon tank.
Is there any disease he may have or is he being a lazy fuck?
Picture is related, but this is not my betta.
