Hey guys, this is my first time here (not including misclicks). I believe this is the appropriate board to go to for my inquiry, apologies if it isn't.
I'm going to be purchasing a dog (puppy) in a year or two, and right now I'm torn between an Alaskan Malamute and a Tibetan Mastiff. I might consider a Siberian Husky for its eyes and playfulness. Which would you guys recommend? Please share your experiences!
I've owned dogs the majority of my life (3 greyhounds and a lab mix), so I don't think experience will be a problem, and I fully intend to commit time to raising the dog. Possible names include Malthus, Machiavelli, and Doorman.
I hope to be married with a kid or two at some point in the dog's lifetime, so it must be good with kids.

Live in pet friendly apt with gf, want to get doge or cat. I like independence, personality, i-dont-give-a-fuck, and basically a pet that's not completely stupid and dependent on you 24/7 like most dogs.
1) Get a cat
2) Get a shibe
We often like to go beach and take lots of day trips.

So mom forced me to walk the dog at sub-freezing temperatures out. If there were any precipitation we'd have a White Christmas. Alas, it was dead and dull and dreary and I was rushing my dog to shit out on the streets when all of a sudden there's a car coming so I dodge to the side of the road and slip in black fucking ice I thought was a puddle.
FFFFUUUUUUUUCKKKCKCFUCKFUCK I fall backward on my ass and tear ligaments. I'm typing this from the hospital right now, late at night on my phone because I can't fucking sleep.
So what did my dog do? His leash slipped out of my hand as I slipped, so he ran free. Could he make like Lassie and call for help? That's what I thought at first because he ran off for my home but NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
He ran off to my front door, not to alert my family but to gain access inside and lick my grandmother to death like he always does. Prior to his walk, mom had holed him up all day in a back room with a rawhide. He didn't touch the rawhide. A hunger strike.
As the fam began to grasp I was in danger, the dog feasted on that rawhide. For the lulz - I'm sure.

I would like to learn about rabbits.
I want to acquire as much information as I can on these animals. Their biology, behavior, all the different kinds, diet, domestication, folklore, and anything else I can learn that concerns them. What resources can you all recommend that I use learn more?
