I'm going to be cosplaying Asuna from Sword Art Online soon, and I'm having trouble with her sword and armor.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what to use to make her armor? I tried using bondo over posterboard with expanding foam for the edging. No clue why I thought that would work. I guess it would work eventually, but it's way too much work - there has to be an easier way. I've thought about using Wonderflex/Worbla, but I'm not sure how well that would work out for the rounded edging on the armor, or how well it would work out for someone who hasn't made props/armor before. I'm also having difficulty coming up with something to use for the pieces of the sword that have edging.
Thank you in advance for any suggestions.

So for the first time I'm cosplaying as female characters; Yoko from TTGL and Naga from Slayers. They both have revealing costumes and it's why I think it'll work. After all, I am a large, hairy, somewhat muscular 6'2 man-bear.
I'm asking you fine folks today for tips, I also need advice.
How do size conversions work for women to men (UK)?
Is there any good sites to buy costumes for my size?
Would it be easier to make these costumes?
How can I be as disgusting as possible?
Any other useful tips?
Pic related; it's what I'm going for.
