I have a 13 year old sister who's obsessed with Homestuck to the point where she always wants to go out cosplaying as her character...Is there anything I can do to tell her and convince her that this sort of behavior is unacceptable and embarrassing to the people around her?
The other day she went to the mall with her friend who is dressed like any normal kid would be, and I see my sister leave the house in full blown cosplay attire (minus grey skin)...
Today she was going out with my mom to some seafood festival and she wanted to be dressed up yet again, my mom tried telling her as kindly as possible no, and to dress normally , next thing I hear is my sister throwing a tamper tantrum, crying, and just doesn't understand that you don't cosplay 24/7...
Also, nightly reminder to stay properly hydrated at conventions :3
Should commissioners be allowed to keep fabric?

So I was getting a fitting for my first commissioned costume, and I noticed that there was a good 3/4ths a yard of the fabric used to make my costume draped over her sewing chair. I was pretty pissed, because I was paying nearly double what I would for store-bought because she has to go buy special material for my costume, and she's sort of pocketing the extra? When I go pick up my costume, should I ask for the cost of 3/4th a yard of that material back, or should I ask for the material itself? I just think it would be unfair for her to profit for buying material on another costume if she has it handy, or to make someone using similar fabric pay less than I had to on my dime.
Material ID help?

Can anyone tell me what the common name for this material is? Daiso markets it as Color Board, and it's a kind of foam that reminds me of the inside of foam core minus the paper outer layers, or of the stuff takeout boxes are made of. I THINK there might be a German equivalent called Hobby Color, but I'm having trouble figuring out if there's a US equivalent sold in hobby stores.
I've been working on a 3DMG prop based off of Reika's tutorial, and since I live near a Daiso I was able to get most of the materials she used, so I'M fine; it's the people that keep asking me what I'm using that I want to help, but the information is really only relevant if they're close to a Daiso, which are rare outside of Japan unless you're in the Bay Area or specific parts of Socal.
