How do I take the padding out of push up bras? I have some nude colored push up bras I would like to take the "push up" out of. I've heard you can just cut it out, but when I tried that all I saw was one complete piece of angled padding. Am I supposed to just shave that down?

First time cosplaying and planning to cosplay as Villager from the new Smash Bros. I got the red shirt, the black shorts and the green socks (how I managed to find them, I have no clue), and the problem I come across is the shirt design, am I better off getting some fabric and cutting then stitching the "1" on there or should I get some paint and paint the shirt, if the latter, is there any special paint like for clothing to design the shirt? Any advice?

Sweater vest lolita?

73 more posts in this thread. [Missing image file: vest.jpg]
So here's my problem. My grandma has recently been trying to be more accepting of my wearing lolita. She thinks it's a little odd dressing like "a doll baby", but she would love me if I walked out of the house in lingerie every day. Recently, she knit me a rather....loud yellow sweater vest with a bunny on it and told my family that she's "helping me with my lah-lita." I haven't worn it yet, so she is assuming I don't like it and looks kind of down when I talk about new outfits. Basically, her birthday is coming up and I want to use this vest in a coord that will make her really proud. I just have no clue where to start. Does anyone have any ideas? Is it a hopeless mission?

guys make-up?

yo yo, /cgl/! I've got a convention coming up, and my Yu Narukami (Persona 4) cosplay is just about complete. Getting straight to the point, I want apply make-up to enhance my cosplay even more. Being a male, I hardly know the first thing about make-up, and I'm not sure what products to buy. tl;dr - I need recommendations for make-up for a male cosplayer.

Crossplay Question

Do you believe that there are some characters that are best cosplayed by the opposite sex? Like male characters that are better when cosplayed by girls, or vice versa? I want to see what everyone's opinion is.

Cosplay list for a con coming up. Okay; asking for some advice here. >Female >Short, 5'2 >Native American but pale >Brown haired, brown eyed >Hair is straight. What should I do for Kaiba's coat? IA's boots? Where should I get wigs (suggestions)? I'd like styling-tool friendly wigs, please. For IA's wig, I'd only like it a little longer than waist long. I'd be too scared that I'd step on it or something if it were full legnth. Also, what type of braid is she wearing? Any and all help is appreciated.

So apparently there are scam sites out there that sell cosplay? I've had friends who've bought cosplays online and found the quality was worse than in the pictures, cheap fabric was used, and some of these stores steal images from other legit ones. So what are some reputable cosplay sites then if I wanted to buy a cosplay? I was looking at some sites that were selling a costume I liked, but they didnt show any actual finished products, has anyone used Cosplay House before and is it worth it? It seems somewhat overpriced and I don't know the extent of the measurements too. I've seen similar stuff on Ebay go for half of the cost as well. http://www.cosplayhouse.com/Dishonored-Cosplay-Costume.html

See the white piece of fabric meant to look like Kyubey's ear-tendrils? Does it have a name? I'm looking to get one for my own cosplay and I'm unsure whether I can order one or if I'll need to sew my own.

So I have a party coming up soon and the theme is video games. I browse /fa/ so I would prefer understated outfits that are still recognisable. I don't play much vidya so any recommendations are appreciated. I'm 6"0 156lbs if that helps at all. Pic related one of the ten video game characters I'm familiar with.

Oh my god where can I get a pair of leggings with feet like this? It doesn't look like pantyhose. It looks like straight spandex but I've never seen leggings with feet before. I need it for a cosplay.

okay, I've never come on to this board but I need you guys to answer something for me. This is not a troll thread, I'm legitimately curious to your thoughts. So I ran across this Cosplay Deviants thing, and I gotta know. Is this a cheap way to get nerds to give them money for a form of smut or do people legitimately like dressing up, taking most of it off and pose naked. I'm not here to judge, what people do as hobby I think is fine, hell I come from /toy/. Still it feels something is off with this idea you know?

Hey Seagulls, I need your help. I've lurked here for quite a while, and have become infatuated by the lolita style, and I wanted to get into it. I know what to do and not to do to avoid being an ita, too. However, I'm pretty much broke. I know Lolita costs quite a bit to pull off ($239 for a burandou dress for instance, and even more for the rest of the coord). I've fallen head-over-heels with some dresses, and then looked at the pice tag, and sometimes I'd to do sweet or classic Lolita, but be not sure how to start a good coord. This is especially true with overly-decorated sweet lolita coords. Can you more experienced Lolitas maybe give me a few tips to start off? I'd like some tips on the financial portion and coordinating better, choosing a dress, etc. Thanks!
