Hey, /cgl/. I know a lot of you here are against replicas, and I neither agree nor disagree with you. But I do have a question: How do you feel about larger girls wearing replicas? Is the brand company really losing any money if girl who buys the replica is too big to fit in the brand dress anyways? If it's a matter of the girl buying a replica or not having a dress at all, because brand just isn't possible for her, is it really that bad? I'm not saying that plus sized girls are entitled to be able to "steal" by buying replicas, but it doesn't seem like they're doing much harm if there was no way she could get the brand dress.

Hell /cgl/, I've got a prop question for you guys.
To cut to the chase, I want to turn this:
Into the picture related. For those who don't know, it's Billy the Blue Ranger's Super Lance from Power Rangers.
However, there are some requirements that I have to implement, because I'm not exactly using it for just cosplay. I'm actually going to be using it for my Zombie hunting LARP, but I wanted to do something creative.
The regulations are that the trident part at least needs to be made of soft foam (covered in duct tape is more than OK), but it still needs to stay on the sword and be able to be wielded as a lance. NO HARD PARTS.
What's the best place to start, and what types of foam would be best?
