>Vegetarians know it can be a struggle to find a good restaurant in Paris that caters to their needs. Now, as long as they have the cash to fork out, they can get a vegetarian meal from one of France’s biggest names in haute cuisine: Alain Ducasse.
>Ducasse, a godfather of French gastronomy who is one of only two chefs to have held a total of 21 Michelin Stars, has gone against the grain of French culinary tradition by banishing most meat from the menu at his famed restaurant at the Plaza Athénée hotel in Paris.
>Ducasse says that turning over a new leaf to explore a lighter, vegetarian-focused cuisine was about a search for greater "naturalness" and respect for the environment.
"The planet's resources are rare, we must consume more ethically and equitably," Ducasse told AFP. The new menu at the restaurant, which reopened on Monday, draws heavily on organic cereals, vegetables grown in the gardens of the famed Versailles chateau built by "Sun King" Louis XIV, as well as fish and seafood. The offerings include black rice cooked in the oven with shellfish, calamari and octopus; Mediterranean monkfish teamed with bulgur; and quinoa with shellfish.
>Ducasse's new-look menu also banishes cream, while butter and sugar will be used as sparingly as possible. "My obsession is to remove sugar," he said, adding that desserts too will take on a new twist. "People ask us for cream or caramel with chocolate," he said, adding that he would not give in to such requests. "Otherwise it's just globalisation. We all eat the same fat and the same sweets," he said.

So, uhm... I've never really made an omelette before and this was kind of a new thing. I followed Jacques Pepin's omelette video for a country omelette, and gave it a shot with 3 eggs and a pan that was awful for omelettes (too big and not very curved at all)...
... I underfolded it, and there's no fillings, but otherwise, how does it look? Do I have this down or do I have to change something? Any tips? Did I do good or fuck up? ;_;

Do you have a favorite waitress /ck/?
I manage a mexican restaurant and three waitresses seem to have a cult following. Guys bring flowers, food, gifts, and over tip for their mediocre service and pointless chitchat.
I've known these waitresses for around two years now and they're the scum of the earth. At the start it was all fun chats and getting a bite here and there after or before work, then I found out what type of whore monsters they are and kept my distance.
They hide the rings their boyfriends give them, say they're single, walk further away from the workplace to get picked up by exboyfriends/boyfriend. They lie about how much tip they make. They text guys to bring them shit or come see them. They ask a customer to buy them a pricey drink and pocket the money since the drink has already been purchased and is just being watered down.
I fired the baddest one. She walked out for 1 hour to go get her nails done down the plaza. She went batshit claiming she ran to see her kid, when I clearly saw her walk into the nailshop.
