Today I'll be making one of my favorite deserts, Dorie Greenspan's "Creamiest Lime Cream Meringue Pie".
This thing is close to culinary perfection. 10/10 looks and taste. You need to make this.
The flavor of the cream is just incredibly powerful. A tiny bit on the edge of your fork will fill your entire mouth with a powerful, delicious, bright citrus flavor. It doesn't just pop, it erupts. And yet it is not overpowering, but works perfectly with the other elements.
BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE!
The textures are fantastic individually, especially the creamy, silky custard. But in combination they are even better. the crunchy base and the airy meringue provide the perfect contrast to the smooth cream.
