I just got a whole new set of stainless steel pots and pans and a whole set of different kinds of knives, various spatulas and stuff, so I'm excited to use them. Previously I only had a small teflon pan and a few steak knives and a shitty wood spatula. What are some fun techniques or recipes I can do now? I have saucepans, dutch oven, couple frying pans, a stock pot, all kinds of stuff.

So I just moved into a neighborhood that has a Pho restaurant, so I thought I'd give it a shot. I knew enough about Pho to know that it was a noodle soup of some kind, which is fine. But priort to my meal, they brought me a massive plate of fresh herbs. My dumb ass thought this was a salad of some kind, so I asked for dressing, prompting a hateful look from the waitress. After that, my Pho came. And it was really good, but that's not the issue. The issue is the plate of herbs. Do they go in the soup? Are they eaten separately? Please help. I feel like a dumb-ass.
