Cooking lamb for the first time. I opened the package and was met with a bad cheesy fart smell. The surface of the lamb looked like someone poured salt over it, small white granules of something...and when I run a butter knife over the surface, all this gunk scrapes off.
I'm pretty sure the meat is bad, even though its supposed to expire in two days. But I don't want to throw it out cause its fucking expensive. So I come to you guys, what's your opinion?
Was gonna pan fry the lamb (broiler is kaput) and lay it on a bed of fried crimini mushrooms and spinach. A side of baby mixed potatoes and...I don't know what else. Broccoli maybe.
But now...left over meat loaf.
