So my girlfriend attempted to make chocolate chip cookies for Halloween, and this was the result.
I wasn't watching her do it, so I'm not exactly sure how this happened. The only things I do know is that she substituted baking soda for baking powder, and that she mixed it by hand instead of using some kind of beater.
There's a lot of batter left, and I'd like to be able to salvage it if it's just a matter of a missing ingredient or not being the right temperature or some shit.
Any ideas on what could cause this?
