Through trial and error i developed pretty good recipe for pizza dough and my pizzas come out pretty tasty. Therefore i decided to move to other breads and chose baquettes. I made the same dough for pizza, just without oil and milk and less yeast. Kneeded it and let it rest for 12 hours. After that formed nice shapes and let them rest for an hour and baked. However they smelled not like real baquettes, the dough itself smelled a lot like alcohol. and walls of pores inside it were quite thick. Thickr than in my pizza dough (which i let rest for 4 hours). Do you have any clue what am i doing wrong? Internt tells me to ferment the dough for 12 or more hours, but it contrary to what my experiments suggest.

I just bought myself my first own knife this weekend, pic related. Im currently still in training, so i live with my parents and have to carry my way to live in other important ways (new car, moving out). Thus I dont have big money to throw around. Now i wonder how i am going to keep this knife around, i dont wanna throw it in the drawer to the other knifes in fear of it becoming dull and we dont own a knife block. Is it a good idea to keep it wrapped in a blanket and then putting it in the drawer? Also General knife thread i guess

Hypothetically speaking could i live getting all the nutrition i need in jello form? After a little reading i see gelatin without sugar is actually good for you. Juicing is a bit of a fad but getting more fruits and vegetables into your diet can't be a bad thing. Gelatin can set without being brought up to a temperature that would kill the cultures in yogurt or kombucha. You could even fortify the jello with vitamins and fish oil and things. >How would the body react to eating nothing but jello
