Hi /ck/, is it normal for chicken thighs to smell a bit? I can't describe the odour other than 'meaty'. I've never noticed any strong smell handling breast but I figure the higher fat content could make it smell a bit? I can't see a reason there should be something wrong - it was bought two days ago, still good for at least three days and I stored it in the fridge in a recloseable bag.

I am hosting an important dinner party my boss is coming to. He is from Sardinia and I think I will impress him and all my guests with a delicious Casu Marzu starter dish, but I can't find it in the shops anywhere. Nobody even seems to know what it is.

Follow me on an adventure. I've just put spare ribs in the oven. I've never done them before and it's winter here, so I can't grill them. I've dry rubbed them yesterday with a rub of paprika, brown sugar, pressed garlic and other stuff. They will be sitting in the oven for 4-5 hours, I will glaze them with some glaze I will prepare when it's time. I will keep you updated.

Chicago Dogs

This food is the first regional favorite I didn't like. I don't know why I expected something good, since hot dogs are never good in the first place, but they found a way to turn a consistently mediocre food in to something pretty gross Glad the deep dish was fantastic though.

/ck/, I come to you with a question. Why do store bought sandwiches always have fucking mayonaise in. It's almost impossible to find them without it where I am. Even the Cheese and Tomato sandwiches have that shit in. Wtf?

2 parts Absinthe, 1 part gin. Muddle lime, lemon, mint and sugar, add a splash of blood orange soda. Shake and serve over crushed ice (not crushed in photo but it works) and garnish with lemon wedge and mint. It's called "The Terminal" and you can substitute blood orange soda with rose water.

Hi /ck/ I've been eating like shit since i'm a kid (20 now) because nobody cooked well in my home (Only my grandmother, who was cooking only really heavy meals) so i've always been fat. >inb4 gtfo /fit/ I'm willing to change this habit of mine by starting to learn how to cook, especially how to cook healthy. I'm planning to cook my 2 meals a day and try to eat only what i cooked/know especially what i'm eating (Avoiding restaurent, fastfood). I'd like to make a collection of "healthy" recipe that don't taste like shit (Let's be real, i can't only eat salads), but i don't even know where to start. Any advice? Usefulls links? Nice book recipes that you could recommend me? TLDR: Want to cook healthy. Wat do?
