sup co/ck/smokers, i just got my ebt card in the mail about a week ago, and am looking for tips/tricks on how to use it. from what i've learned, you can only use it for 'non-prepared' foods, but are there any loopholes to this (like take-and-bake pizzas)? my local gas station got this shake machine recently, but unfortunately since they are 'made' in the store you can't use ebt to buy them.

I made some gnoochi for the first time. I've had them before but I honestly don't remember how they tasted. Anyway, these tasted fine but I'm pretty sure I added way too little flour (they were sticky during shaping and pretty soft after cooking). I'll dump a few pictures.

Beef Jerky

I've made beef jerky before with flank steak and a recipe that I found online(Can't remember where I found it) where if I remember correctly the main ingredients were Worcestershire sauce and maybe soy sauce. Unfortunately they didn't come out to well and I couldn't even finish it. I think the cut of meat was fine but the recipe was just so overpowering and the flavors just didn't go together well. I want to try making it again but I'm not sure what recipe I should use or if flank is the best cut to use. I'm just wondering if any of you have any good recipe.

if you don't think chicago has some of the most delicious food on the planet you've either never been here, you're a vegan or you're a hate filled faggot from new york. we have some of the greatest restaurants in the world, so much variety that we cover every culture's cuisine and you can get the best hotdog in the US at any corner grease joint with a vienna beef sign hanging outside. inb4 "tomato casserole" this is also coming from people who never had one. there is also a thing called chicago style thin crust and it is much more prevalent than deep dish.

What's some good liquor to put in a flask? I'm going to a show on Monday and don't want to pay six dollars for a can of beer.

I don't like any of the seafood I've tried: crab, lobster, fish, squid, octopus, sea urchin, lamprey, shrimp, crawfish. But might I like oysters? I just moved to Boston and there's a famous "oyster house" nearby.

What is the most expensive meal you have ever had? What do you think of the occasional extravagantly priced meal? Can you cook the same thing in your own home? What are your favorite restaurants to make you feel like you're treating yourself?

The Vegan Thread

Rather than having a bunch of random threads and debates about animal products all the time, let's just have one giant VEGAN THREAD. My wife and I have decided to give veganism a shot, one day per week kinda' like Meatless Monday. starting tomorrow. If it goes well we might up it to multiple days per week, or every day. Post here your recipes, your advice, your thoughts, anything related to veganism. * This is not a topic for debating and trolling from either side. Post that shit someplace else, thank you.

Post your last grocery trip. $1.00 Pepperidge Farm bread $ .79 Green onions I tend to buy my stuff in bulk, but I was out of bread and I enjoy cooking with onions. A grocery store close to my place sells day-of bread for $1, so I pick that up since I go through a loaf in less than a week.

Flavors that keep happening I LOVE Pineapple. I will eat the shit out of anything pineapple flavored. Or at least I would, if not for the fact that when something is pineapple flavored, it automatically means it's Coconut flavor too. So, not Pineapple flavor, Pina Colada flavor. I just want some fucking pineapple, man.
