What the hell can I do with split peas besides split pea soup? I've heard they can be used like lentils, but I'm not sure if they'd have the same consistency.

What is this?

What makes you go autistic in your kitchen/dealing with food? I can't fucking stand pick related. Also, people wasting the juices in the skillets when finished with steaks.

Why do they call it "grilled cheese" and not "pan seared cheese"?

What are some good ways to prepare salmon? I bought some filets and broiled them with a lemon pepper glaze. I liked it and would make it again, but I just don't know what else I could add to them.

Okay, lets share cheeseburger recipes guys. I'm absolutely craving a good burger right now and am about to head up the shops to buy supplies. What do you guys use to make your patties?

Sup co/ck/suckers, Ausfag here. Wondering what you guys like to put on your french fries? I usually use Utah Fry Sauce, Ketchup or BBQ sauce, but I'm looking for something a bit more interesting. Bonus points for seasonings too.

Guys...how...how do I stop being a fucking idiot with the food I eat. All I've eaten for the last 6 months is fast food. I look up recipes sometimes to try out but I just end up giving up and go and buy something terrible. I've been eating butter chicken from a local India place for the last 3 days. This is so bad, I literally eat either nothing throughout the day or have some toast till dinner time, then I'll go get whatever I feel like and get a huge amount of food. I live alone and haven't cooked shit for myself other than ramen occasionally. I need help ;_;

/ck/, I hate, hate, hate the taste of meat, but I'm getting tired of being called one of those pussy vegetarians, especially since I'm not avoiding meat for health/morality/whatever shitty reason vegetarians give. I just dislike the taste of meat. How do I get used to the taste of meat? Is it just one of those things that if you eat it enough, you'll like it? SOrry about the image. It's unrelated.

I feel kind of dumb for posting this, but I can't find a hint of information on what I'm looking for. Basically, I love green tea and want to find a find a faster way of brewing it than using the sun like I usually do. I drink about a half gallon a day, and I like to drink it cold like iced tea. I want to make a half gallon on the stovetop, but I'm unsure of a few things; how many tea bags to use, how much water to boil and how much water to add to the finished brew and how long I should boil etc. Does anyone have a good stovetop green tea brewing method for a half gallon?

I was just eating a delicious ice cream sundae with home made hot chocolate fudge and I found that I could taste the ice cream and the nuts but my sense of taste seemed dulled and the chocolate wasn't very pronounced and at times, it seemed like I could barely taste chocolate. I have recently had two bad colds, could the dull sense of taste be attributed to the colds or could this be a sign of something serious like Anosmia?

What's your favorite sandwich? Mine is rye bread, toasted, with butter and sliced cream cheese, two slices of bacon, a fried egg and thinly sliced ham on top with few tomato slices. It's a dream.

I have a can of "Fire Roasted diced tomatoes" and I'm not sure what to do with them. It was in a box my aunt brought me. Any experience with these? I'm not a big vegetable person.
