So I was planning to make some tamagoyaki, turns out my mirin is about a month past the best before date. Would I be okay if I used it anyway? It's alcoholic so it shouldn't be to bad right? There's no asian supermarket in my town, so getting a new bottle would be a bit of a hassle.

why do they always add sugar to canned peas and canned corn? I know it's shit tier food, but sometimes it is a whole lot more convenient to used canned vegetables when on a time limit, in a dorm, or just renting out a room in a house.

leaving green tea in a pot for a day and then drinking from it again should be okay right? I will put hot water in the cup with it and everything, pretty sure it can't go off right?

I'm collecting things for making sandwiches. I buy a few tomatoes at a time, chop them all into slices, put them in a sealed container, do the same thing with lettuce and onions, etc, so I can just pull out these containers and throw them on a sandwich. Now, I am wondering about bacon. Is it alright if I bake a package of bacon, then refrigerate them all? Will anything happen to them? At arbys we cook it all in the morning and then just have it sitting around to throw on sandwiches and it tastes great. Anyone have any experience with pre cooking bacon to be put onto sandwiches?

Anyone else here have a problem with vegans? Because I really do. It's a massive fucking joke and I won't be fooled by it for a second. The only people who choose to be vegan are privileged first world fools with too much time. Everyone else is vegan by force; because of poverty. The human body never grows normally unless it is fed with animal AND plant matter, in conjunction with physical activity, fresh water and fresh air. Claiming anything else is total bullshit, and defies everything in modern science and medicine. YOU CANNOT ESCAPE YOUR SPECIES; you are human. A beast built by nature to slaughter animals to feast on their blood and flesh, as well as forage for berries and roots. Without calcium from MILK, YOGHURT, and CHEESE, you develop rickets and mental retardation. SCIENTIFIC FACT. without meat, you develop anemia and your muscles fail to grow. Without eggs, you have few other sources of amino acids. No, plants cannot replace meat and animal by-products.. and they never will. No, pills won't help you. They'll make you constipated, kill your internal organs and increase your risk of cancer tenfold. This is why vegans are childish, pretentious fools. If there are any vegans on here who are not too malnourished and irritable to post, feel free. But anything you say will be viewed as a delusional murmuring from the mind of a cretin. Pic related: mfw people say they're vegan.

Hey guys, I'm moving to America (from Ireland) at the end of the year. I've heard pretty bad things about their chicken and beef, and I've learned how to get local meat that's less, well, terrible. I'm wondering, though, what is the average pork like in the US? I've heard next to nothing, and so my assumption is that there's less wrong with it. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers.

So I just watched Iron Chef America and it was pretty boring yet again. Here is my idea on how to make Iron Chef America not boring: Have only one Iron Chef. Anyone who wants to become the Iron Chef must, obviously, challenge the Iron Chef. Stuff goes as usual. Whoever wins the match becomes the Iron Chef. Seems a lot better than the shitty way Food Network does it which composes of "let's take these popular chefs and let them do stupid shit like cook in a baseball park and if they win they can be Iron Chefs." What say you, /ck/?

Hi /ck/ :3 I'm more or less playing adult for 8 months, living away from home for school. Anyways. Being a student on a pretty fixed income I was wondering if you all had any cheap-o meals to make, that were still pretty tasty? I've googled the topic but nothing has really stuck me so far.
