Beginner low calorie meals?

Hey /ck/, I realise this probably gets posted a lot but catalogue didn't turn up anything I could see.
Currently cutting my intake to around 1,500 calories a day and it's been working fairly well so far. Only problem is I never really cooked and as such the amount of food I could eat was fairly limited. I now have the summer free and I'm interested in taking up some basic cooking, what're some good low calorie recipes / guides?
Not a fan of salads, dairy or fish. Most other things I'd be willing to try
