I added too much soy sauce when cooking my fried rice. I didn't want to waste it all so I ate it anyway. I don't feel good now. What is the cure? I've been drinking a lot of water hoping to dilute all the sodium from the sauce, but I'm not sure it's helping.

Which side of kitchen foil are things less likely to stick to? Shiny side or dull side?

So first of all, hello /ck/. I am new here and I am not even sure if this is the correct place to place this question, but here it goes. Do any of you know what the name for this stove is? The pilot light for the oven is out and I need to find an owners manual... somewhere. Its dimensions are 36x20x23 (height, width, depth), without the vertical logo. Any information would be nice.

So to start I am no avid browser of /ck/, but am however quite the avid browser of 4chan, and my question will most likely reflect this. As you may know, every board seems to have that guy that they look up to, /v/ with Gaben, /g/ with Richard Stallman, /pol/ with Ron Paul, and the list could go on for just about every board. My question is this: Is Ainsley Harriott essentially /ck/'s equivalent of these? Additionally, what are /ck/'s opinions on Ainsley? I'm perhaps not one to speak, but he seems like an absolute 10/10 chef to me.

What are your favorite mixed drinks with no booze in them? I love mixing shit together and drinking it but I don't always want to ingest alcohol.

Time and food!

Well, today I was talking with a chinese girl about our respective eating "timetables" and I realized that I don't know nearly anything about the usual hours for eating in other countries. I find it curious, because I know typical dishes from a lot of countries, but not when and in what quantity the people from these countries use to eat them. So, as 4chan has a lot of people of different countries in it, in order to learn a little bit today, I would like for everyone to tell us what's the usual horaries for eating and number of meals per day in its country/region. I will begin: Country: Spain Number of meals a day: 5 (2 optional) Time and type of meals: 1st-Breakfast: 8.30-9.00am. We don't usually eat a lot in our breakfast. A glass of milk/coffe plus some biscuits/cereals/a toast is our usual breakfast 2nd-Almuerzo (no tranlation):11.00am. A sandwich or a pastry. 3rd-Lunch: 13.30-14.30pm. The biggest meal in the day, usually 2 dishes plus dessert. 4th-Merienda (no tranlation). 17-18pm. A sandwich or a pastry. 5th-Dinner. 20.30-21.30pm. Usually one dish (some people eat two) plus dessert. This is more or less the typical in the mediterranean part of Spain. What about your country?

So people in the US have been going berserk over this stuff. Trader Joe's can never stock enough of it apparently. What do you all think? Worthy of the craze or overrated?

Types of Booze to Try?

K. I'm not a huge alky, but I do like to try new things. What other types of alcohol is out there that the vast majority of people never try? I came across baijiu this morning, and am seriously trying to find a cheap bottle to try. Any others I should add to my list?

Sorry for the vague question but... I need to buy some champagne for an occasion and I know nothing about it. My girlfriend once mentioned that if I wanted to get a decent bottle, I should get a bottle of a kind whose name escaped her...but she remarked that it was in very many movies...possibly as product placement...on the order of it was suspicious how often it turned up. That is the only piece of information I know. Ideas?

If I make a grilled cheese with roast beef in it will it suffice as a poor man's philly cheese steak? fcuuuk I'm so hungry /ck, but all I want is a philly... jeaszus it's been on my mind all day. The only place to get a philly in my shit city is Taste of Philly. They are subpar. So, what's a nigga to do but make his own ~gheto stile~

So earlier I wanted some french fries, but didn't want to go and buy some, so I took a pan, put in some olive oil, chopped some potatoes into decent sized slices, and cooked them up with some salt, pepper, and rosemary. Are they still called fries if you cook them on a stove rather than a deep fryer? They turned out looking pretty much like this, minus the fancy setting.

What do you put on your hot dog? I put ketchup on one and teriyaki sauce on the other. I also like to put relish and chili on hot dogs as well.
