/ck/ I come for some technique hopefully. I have food allergies to the point where there are not a lot of options. I've been using this Herdez salsa verde for pizza sauce, but it's too watery. When I use it for other things, like huevos rancheros, I can cook it down in the skillet to thicken it. With the pizza, since I'm putting it on cold I've been using a paper towel to soak out some of the water. Of course it's messy and hardly ideal. What I'm looking for a is a better way- not to thicken it really, but to remove the watery, ideally quickly and without cooking or microwave (although I'll try suggestions in any case) So- better way? Technique, a certain cooking tool, a trick, something?

I had a dream about a drink and I can't get it out of my mind. I'd like to present it to /ck/ for possible real life food analysis and to see if it's possible to be created in the waking world. Pic somewhat related, if the red color was on the top in the form of decorative, and clear on the bottom. I had a dream my family and I were at this seafood restaurant. There was a lot of shrimp dishes, and I had this drink. It was set in a tall, clear glass. It had at least: * Something clear and Syrupy (like a lychee syrup) * tiny edible baby shrimp * something dark red (either raspberries, strawberry bits, rose petals, cherries, lychee shells, or something similar) * shrimp extract/taste * crushed ice (because I like my drinks cold) * sweet shrimpy taste. Almost as or the same amount of sweetness as ice wine if you've ever had it. It was actually really good. I don’t really like seafood that much IRL and am 50/50 with shrimp but if this drink was made for me in the waking world I’d 100% drink it. So that’s my drink that I dreamed of. I think what I had, there was an alcoholic version too. If what I had *was* somehow the alcoholic version, I didn't taste it at all, and that’s coming from a person who doesn't drink that much. So /ck/, thoughts? I'm not exactly partial to the shrimp element; it can probably be removed due to well, unsure how many shrimp lovers there are on this board but I'm not one of them. However adding alcohol to this sucker is a good idea, I think, if only because well. Who doesn't like booze? CAN this be made?

Hi /ck/. I was wondering if ready meals you buy at the supermarket could be eaten cold? Since the food inside them has already been cooked and all you're doing it heating it up in the microwave, surely it would be safe to eat it cold? Not that I want to do this, I'm sure it would taste awful, but if push came to shove could it be done and would it be safe?
