ITT: Pleb confessions. My favourite kind of sushi is crispy chicken. My second favourite is tuna avocado. I don't really care for salmon. I haven't tried anything else.

Putting the sandwichs (of baguette bread) in the microwaves 1 minute everyday was the best decision of my life Why do people still have pizza when they can just do this? Why is there is till people who have cold sandwitches?

Sausages are great. What are some great things to do with sausages beyond a simple meat and veg on a plate dish? What are your favourite sausages? I really enjoy the pork and cider ones.

Making chili with fresh chilis. 8 habaneros and 4 serranos Is this too much heat? Will it overpower the other flavors?

Hello my fellow cooks! Today I am going to show you how to make an Uzbeki Pilaf dish. It is probably the best rice dish I have ever tried. Enjoy. p.s. I am not from Uzbekistan. OK so first things first. We'll need: 1. 2 large or 4 small carrots 2. 2 onions 3. 2 garlic bulbs 4. 200g parboiled rice 5. spice: salt, black pepper, sweet pepper, kumin seeds (or caraway). 6. 1/2 kg lamb (quality beef will do if lamb is too expenive in your country).

Hey /ck/ You ever make a dish that you thought was just.. perfect? No matter if it was by recipe or you just threw some shit together, whatever it was, was it just perfect to you? I made some white rice with sesame oil, black pepper and sea salt. Thin cut chicken strips with teriyaki and soy sauce. Diced red pepper, diced onion and sliced mushrooms (all browned in some butter and oil) and then once it was all together I toasted the rice in a little more sesame oil and teriyaki sauce. God damn.. it was so fucking good, I couldn't help but shovel it into my mouth as fast as possible. I wasn't using a recipe, I just had some stuff in my fridge I wanted to use up. So awesome.. Sadly, I did not take a picture of it. Anyway, what was your perfect dish? Picture slightly unrelated.

Hi /ck/ I want to make another batch of cider. I can't get my hands on enough apples to juice my own but I made my last one out of copella. It wasn't very good. May have left it fermenting too long for my taste (4 weeks) because it was really bitter. Added some artificial sweetener but again not very good. Can you suggest where I went wrong? Do you know a better apple juice? Preferably one I would be able to get in the UK.

I finally remembered the pronunciation of this specialty meatball my Italian grandmother used to make. However, it appears she might have made up the name? It's basically a modified meatball, wrapped in veal. Much more cheese than you'd expect, and a half and half mix of beef and .... pork I believe. She called it "Brisholi" but that might not be the correct spelling. Can anyone shed some light? I am trying to track down this word and see if it's a real thing, or she just made it up.

Thought I would come to the experts to help me in my quest: Fell on my feet with an amazing housemate who loves cooking and feeds me virtually every night so I want to get her a present to thankyou for being there during the past couple of months as my life has been absolutely shit away from the house. I have located the perfect thing for her but I am completely unaware of the name for this device and she has come up short when she has searched for an outlet that sells it in the UK. tl;dr, name this device >large square frame >very fine mesh at the base >used to make your mash super smooth We saw one on a chef program for a few seconds a few weeks back so it looks like it is a commercial product as that type of sieve cannot be found through the usual channels. Any help greatly appreciated. I am falling for this woman and want her to feel appreciated besides my daily thanks for food etc.

I have a batch of lentil soup left from friday. How long do you think it will last? Drank some for breakfast and it was frine (in fact just as good as I have made it) When, if ever, will it go bad (of course I know it will go bad eventually)

Pot Pie Time!

With the cold seeping throughout the area I figured there would be no better time to make a pot pie. Anyone else get down with this? What's your preferred method of execution? What are some delicious, off-the-wall type ingredients you like to fill your pot pie with? I'm looking for something with a bit more bravado than your standard chicken/beef in gravy variation, but I will default to that if you fail me. Actually, I will probably make those anyway, but I will take your suggestions under extreme consideration.

I'm about to make the mistake of stopping by Taco Bell for some sad fast food. What should I get? What is the best for taste/price?
