I drive a little mor than two hiurs to a natural spring to fill my water jugs. It runs 24/7/365, but over the past 7 years I have noticed some variation in flow rate. It is a very popular spring and free to all. My city (tap) water is safe enough, but is treated and has a different taste than my spring water. I'll still cook with it, like boiled eggs and pasta and such and the dog drinks it. Does anybody have weird ideas about thier water or do all just "tap out". OC pic related.

Pic unrelated. About a month ago I started fermenting some Whole Foods apple juice in my closet and so far it's been going pretty good, even if it is taking longer than I expected it to go. Over the past week the bubbling has been going down considerably, to the point where I would see about one bubble per second instead of a steady, thick stream of them. I was going to pack it up and transfer the cider to its aging vessel today, but I checked up on it again and all of the sudden it is bubbling more. Not as much as before, but definitely more than the one per second that I had seen the past few days. When is it alright to transfer the cider to its aging vessel? I don't want to make a carboy bomb, and would like to know what to look for to make sure that that does not happen.

Was having a look in the fridge after my brother did this week's shopping and he brought home these "kitchen eggs." I was confused, I usually eat my food in my room in front of my computer. Do they sell bedroom eggs?

Today was my free day from college and I wanted to make something fancy for lunch. However, I never really cooked something without proper instructions...Nor without all the ingredients present. I just had on my hand cooked rice, eggs, broccoli, minced sausage (Those chicken&apple fancy one), cooking oil, salt&pepper, and kimchi (Yes, I'm korean). I did not have anything like Soy sauce on me and I was too lazy to go out and buy some. I first started by cooking up the broccoli with the oil, added the sausages later on, and dumped the rice on. After mixing those up, I added the beaten egg, mixed that up as well, and added the salt&pepper along with kimchi and its water. Looked pretty good and felt pretty proud of myself, but the end result was kinda bland except when I was eating the fried rice with the cooked kimchi that was with it. (Mostly kimchi taste then...) tl;dr: My fried rice tasted little bland. What can I do to improve it, and what other things can I do with my fried rice

Can't Clean Pan

I have a really old cast iron pan that used to be my grandmothers. I can't part with it for sentimental reasons but now I can't get it clean. I made little chocolate bundt cakes in it and i used flour in the pan to keep them from sticking. So at first I thought that the flour had mysteriously not been absorbed by the batter. But its been a year of soaking and scrubbing and bleaching... And the pan refuses to release the white blotches on its surface. What is it? And how do I get it to go away?
