Is there a reason why nigiri is so expensive for its size compared to rolls? Is there some expertise vital to cutting it just right or in keeping the fish on the rice? 2-3 dollars for a slice of tuna a bit larger than one's thumb just seems abnormally pricy since the rest of the preparation process seems relatively simple.

So, /ck/, I've always liked bourbons and whisk(e)ys, and last weekend I "sprung" on some stuff that I really enjoyed. Drank it no ice and also with ice, I enjoyed all the flavors and everything that came with it, now, I'll be drinking this again this weekend but for next weekend I'm looking for suggestions on some good bourbon, whiskey, or scotch. I've never had scotch, don't even know what it tastes like or if it's worth trying if I'm spending <$35 but I really enjoyed this stuff and need some recommendations.. Thanks /ck/!

Hey /ck/! quick question! (i'll delete the thread after) I have some leftover turkey soup i made with the turkey scraps from thanks giving. In it is chicken broth,turkey, and bowtie noodles. What can i add to it to make it more flavorfull, right now the broth is really bland and the turkey is also. Any spices that will flavor it well? Thanks in advance

Hey /ck/, can you teach me how to make a really good Italian tomato sauce? I want to be able to make a nice sauce for pastas and whatever else, but I don't even know where to begin. I'm willing to cut corners using canned or dried ingredients or whatever, but if it could be made better with fresh/more expensive or inaccessible ingredients, I have no qualms with going the extra mile for it.
