I just found out that Velveeta is NOT an unhealthy fake cheese product, but is actually a protein rich processed cheese that has gained the American Medical Association's seal of approval. Are there any other "fake/unhealthy" products that are really truly neither?

So, /ck/, what have you achieved this cooking season? Today I nailed pie crust, nonetheless. I'm probably gonna play around with the recipe anyway but it was flaky and tasty. I really don't know how I could actually improve it. It's already so far and beyond all pie crusts I've ever eaten, either commercial, prepared mixes or improvised by others. I'm actually disappointed at the lack of a need to work on it.

Alright, I don't know if it's cause I suck at broiling steaks and should just stick to grilling, but whenever I throw a couple of ribeyes in the oven there's a frequent chance of the darn things catching on fire. Moving them down to the middle rack seems to help a bit, but it still happens. You guys have any broiling advice?

So I was making Gnocchi for the first time on a whim and have fucked up as i saw conflicting recipes Decided to Peel the potatoes and then grate them with a large hole. I added salt and an egg (later a second egg ) and probably a cup and a half of flour Pic related is what i currently have. As you can see, there is shitloads of moisture/water left as its glistening and not forming for shit into dough. I figured since i Peeled this would of been impossible since they couldnt soak any water Can I salvage this? Ran out of flour so i need to run to the store to get more, but im not sure if adding more flour will be enough to soak up all that water. Also it seems to me my potato slices are alot thicker then recommended halp
