Almond milk unexpected color change?

I just poured a glass of some Almond milk and it almost looks grey/silver/blue. is there anything wrong with it? I've never seen this happen before, although it is a different brand than what I normally buy. I googled "my almond milk turned blue" and others have searched that before so it must be somewhat common. It doesn't smell rotten or spoiled and isn't chunky or curdled so I'm not sure what this means. Not a big deal or toss it?

Ohai, I want to do something cool and colorful (like a red velvet cake or cupcakes) but I am still a beginner and don't know much. I saw a recipe for a redvelvet cheesecacke and bought the ingredients (pic related) but I want to see if I could something else, something easier ! Any advice ? If you have any good recipe, don't hesitate to post the link. Cheers

Hey guys I just bought some frozen salmon but don't know how to cook it. I do have a George Foreman Grill though, would it be possible to do it on that? How would I go about defrosting it?

I've got a whole pack of rubbery "turkey" lunch meat. It's watery and gross, but I have a fuck ton of it and it's almost impossible to eat it straight up in a sandwich. What can I do to make it more palatable? I was thinking about baking it to dry it out or possibly pan-frying it and then eating it that way so it feels and taste more like meat, but I've never really "worked" with this kind of deli meat before. Any suggestions, /ck/?

I found a recipe for infusing gummy bears with Vodka, and I found another one for melting them down and molding them into shot glasses. The question is, can you melt down and mold the vodka infused gummies into vodka infused gummy shot glasses? Or does the vodka mess up the solidifying (I know it has an amazingly low freezing temperature)

Got soft pretzels rising. Normally I make salt pretzels, using an egg yolk mixed with water to brush after boiling, and then pretzel salt them. This time I want to make some cinnamon sugar topping. My question is, do I use the same yolk/water mix or do something with syrup, plain water etc. in addition to what is needed I have: >real maple syrup >blue agave syrup >honey >real sugar So, tips on coating for cinnamon/sugar topping?

Fall Goodie Boxes

Hi there /ck/! I have come for your ideas. I'm planning some Fall Goodie Boxes for friends and family this year, as my usual Christmas cookie boxes won't be going out due to winter travels. I've never done a Fall Goodie Box, so I'm looking for some thoughts on inclusions and recipes celebrating the season. What would you love to see in a box of edibles arriving in the next two weeks at your door? Note that items need to pack, travel, and store nicely, as I send mostly cross-country 2-day shipping.

Alright /ck/, I usually don't come here, but I need help from people who are more likely to know what they're talking about. How do you properly pronounce "gyro?" I've heard it a million different ways ("guy-ro," "jai-ro," "gee-ro" with both hard and soft G sounds, "oor-ro," "euro," and "ee-ro," among others) and I have no clue whatsoever which is the proper pronunciation.
