What are your opinions on the DCU's "The New 52"?
I'm really mixed. I really like what they've done with The Flash, so I think that might be worth following. I honestly like that they've incorporated John Constantine into the DC universe with JL Dark. That said, my favorite conventional DC superhero was always Green Arrow, and I HATE what they've done with him. It feels tacky, the character design is unappealing (and directly removes the old Robin Hood/Lady's Man/vigilante vibe). The rich guy with too many gadgets thing sucks, and the crew cut tough guy thing totally works for grim superheroes like Batman or The Punisher, but Oliver Queen isn't that, so basically I just we just get an uncharismatic character with tacky, shallow stories. He's lost the point. His personality seems completely unrelated to that of the old Oliver Queen.
The thing I'm perhaps most conflicted on is Red Hood and the Outlaws. I actually like the new Red Hood more than I ever did before. He has an interesting and appealing personality. But Roy Harper has become completely bland - he's not off-putting, but there's no substance there. I wish they'd just make him more relatable and more likable - as it is, he's sort of a non-entity. And the new Starfire is off-putting - she's so much the loose, no personality, every 12 year old boy's dream sex doll that it's painful. As I read her, it's like being constantly reminded that I'm reading about a character designed completely for the lowest-common-denominator.

>You didn’t think I would let the year come to an end without bagging one more major kill from my pals over at Marvel now did you? That is not my style. Championships are won in the 4th quarter.
>Anyway, now that Marvel found their Ant-Man in Paul Rudd (which was the worst kept secret in the town by the way), um, what is going on with their other big movie Avengers 2: Age Of Ultron?
>Well, it seems major bad guy Ultron is going to have some company.
>You see, there is a breakdown circulating in Hollywood where Marvel is looking for a PHYSICALLY IMPOSING MAN, age range 40-50, Caucasian, for a supporting role.
>I found out that the supporting role is for, it’s…
>BARON VON STRUCKER
>406px-Baron_StruckerIn the comics, Baron Von Strucker is a super villain, one of the leaders of HYDRA, and an enemy of both S.H.I.E.L.D and The Avengers. He is supposedly ageless and keeps dying yet comes back, time and time again.
>Here is a bit of a spoiler, from what I’m told, in the film Quicksilver & Scarlet Witch work for Baron Von Strucker. So are they HYDRA or MASTERS OF EVIL? That I’m not sure about. I would guess HYDRA because it was already established in the first Captain America film.
>But that is not all. I got some names too.
