I think if you can cut it down to two pages you'd stand a better chance. You have few enough panels already to make it. Either way it's cute and you shared it, that's what matters.

Sometimes it helps to just look at pages you think are arranged really well panel-wise in a comic you like. Try to see how much size the comic gives each different kind of action, then note in the script how big you think the panels should be to tell the story without wasting space or effort.

Go for the gusto and put more panels on that page, and arrange it like a real comic page. Maybe nobody will want to draw it, but you'll be learning how to script an actual couple-of-pages comic while you think about it.

OK, so Edge, Nerd, tentacles, and probably a couple others (maybe King Spooky hangs around them just for company) are all part of /co/ntainment G-Squad.

G-Squad is a medical squad and isn't usually out on the front lines like R-Squad (and formerly J-Squad) is so they have practically no casualties in their squad records.

>>
Anonymous 2013-10-11 01:05:48 No.54959768
>>54959558
Oh ,man, I was hoping the nerd is typically known as 101 (one-o-one) by Edge, but I think nerd might stick easier.

Anonymous 2013-10-11 01:13:36 No.54960003
>>54959768
101 might be his official codename, but Edge just calls him nerd.

Enough people hearing her saying "Hey nerd, we got a live one in the med cage!" and they start to think he's Nerd.

>>
Anonymous 2013-10-11 01:14:27 No.54960030

So 101 is his codename? Or do Containment personnel have number designations as well?

>>
Anonymous 2013-10-11 01:20:44 No.54960206
>>54960030
I'm pretty sure there was a thing about them having numbers, but they don't mean much.

Captain Rookie is operative 01 since she's head of the team that gets deployed the most (and lives consistently), Sink is operative 02 since he's under Captain Rookie's command despite having lived through more missions.

So I guess numbers relate to how long you live and what your rank is.

>>
Anonymous 2013-10-11 01:24:23 No.54960283
>>54960206
So there could be a tier system where 0## operatives are active squads, 1## operatives are support squads, 2## are maybe IT personnel?

So 001 would be Rookie as the first ranking field operative. 101 would then be the first ranking support operative, and Nerd is his codename.

>>
Anonymous 2013-10-11 01:27:28 No.54960362
>>54960283
That works.

I doubt there are ever 100 operatives of any one variety active at any given time though, except maybe the 2##'s when Red Laser Bones gets into one of his self replicating fits.

Somewhat related, I had an idea that the /co/ntainment squads originally were named in alphabetical order. At some point in the past there was an "A-Squad" (or Alpha Squad) which then gave way to "B-Squad" etc all the way up to J-Squad.

But I also thought that maybe this system had been abandoned due to it being bad for morale for troopers to learn just how many squads had been wiped out in the early days, which is why modern day /co/ntaiment has a different naming system where the lettes designate which area they work in.

Dunno

>>
Anonymous 2013-10-11 01:39:15 No.54960674
The /co/ntainment page on the wiki is already kind of bloated, but now it's also out of date.

It's missing all information on G-Squad, SCIENCE robot, and Red Laser Bones.

It might be time to restructure it so characters are sorted via lists under squad headers and individual character pages get made.

Some of them just don't have enough information or a profile pic to warrant a page though, and there's still some who are at unstable points of their development.

I've been putting it off too long...

Fine... but this is going to take a while.

I'll need to figure out which pages to make, Captain Rookie, Sink, Springtime, SCIENCE robot, and Red Laser Bones for sure.

Twitch and Trinkets, not so sure since it looks like Longyear is merging them into one character in the comic... eh, fuck it, I'll give them pages as well.

Cap, Flirt, Toots, Tripewire, King Spooky, Freak will probably get sorted via list on the main /co/ntainment page.

Not sure what to do with Edge and Nerd yet.

One of the things about /co/ntainment is that they're disposable mooks, but this only applies to the men.

Don't worry about it. /co/ does agree with you, they're just not secure enough to admit it. Pretty much all of /co/'s favorite characters are women who kills exclusively men, and /co/ has always hated the idea that a woman would even be harmed, let alone killed.

There's some trolls in these threads that keep trying to have women be killed, but they're just trolls.

Keep an eye on these threads, I'm sure we'll get rid of those trolls eventually and people will start being more open about what they like, and then you'll fit right in.

>/Co/lette's child origins
If you don't mind, I wrote a greentext story for that.
>/Co/ve city Hostpitall: Maternity Ward.
>Conrad is visiting Colette after she gives birth. Colette is feeding her new daughter. Becky has forcibly taken control of the hospital kitchen in order to make a homecooked meal for the entire hospital. Cookie is with her.
>"So, does she have a name yet?"
>"Her name is Cassidy. I figured I'd name her after my sister"
>"Hey Colette, I really am grateful for you inviting me to see you and your kid. But if you don't mind me asking, where is her father?"
>Colette's eyes get misty "No, its a fair question. He was with containment, so I never really found out his name. We've been dating for several months when it happened. He took me out to dinner. He somehow managed to rent out the entire bistro for a private dinner. He proposed to me that night, It was the greatest night of my life. That morning he was gone, with a note saying that "He was out getting breakfast, and that he would tell me his name when he got back"".
>Colette is crying a bit at this point. Conrad moves to hug her.
>"If you don't want to tell it then-"
>Colette dries her eyes. "No, its fine. He got into a car crash. I was the only non-Containment person at the funeral. Springtime said that she was the one who made the ring for him. She said that he told her that I was worth all the risks he was taking. That I was worth going through hell and back"
>"Colette, I'm so sorry."
>"For what silly? I don't regret any of it. And I want you and Becky to be the Godparents."
>"Colette I'm honored."
>Becky Comes in.

I didn't have any involvement in the pages I posted.

If you want to story board quicker, then make it sloppier. Storyboards aren't supposed to be the final products, their supposed to be quick and dirty to see if the idea works before committing to it. Or at least that's what I think.

You know. I think the reason why the whole Tatyana thing got out of hand was because people wanted to spite our resident troll and started adding more and more shit to the character. Its a shame, I love the concept of a TinTin-esque adventure reporter travelling the world and reporting on superhero shenanigans.

OK, this is gonna take more than once post.

Aqua Coalition (of Super Friends), member data:

Caliber
Surfer from Hawaii who was getting mixed up in the League of evil surfers when Diving belle found her and the two started kicking butt together
-built like a tank
-heavy hitter or super strength
-might also have a hypersonic surfboard that she took from the league of evil surfers.

Reef
From the great barrier, he has been protecting Australia from tidal waves and evil surfers when sharktopus threated everyone and he was called in
Has a temper, sees a big shark octopus monster about to wreck up his favorite spot and immediately swims out there to try and kick it's ass. Not full Saxton Hale, but he'd probably look up to someone like that.
"Some wanker's trying mess up my day, he's gonna get his ass handed to him."
